My primary focus is creating numerous data pulls, and Alteryx Server handles the automation well. It's a significant time-saver because I don't have to juggle maintenance for dozens of SQL queries or remember the logic for each one. Everything is neatly organized on our server. Monthly runs are automated, updating Tableau, data services, Excel files, or other necessary components. This level of automation for tasks saves valuable time for me and my team, especially when dealing with emails and other routine processes.

Alteryx has helped us spend more time identifying results instead of performing analysis manually. It has helped us in our loading process, including scrubbing data and identifying data elements that need to be corrected. It enables us to understand our data sets a lot better.

It's incredibly fast for loading and filtering the data. We use it to read clients' information and general entries. We have files of about 20 gigs with perhaps millions of records, and we use macros in order to filter the information.

The amount of labor that it takes us to find issues is pretty high. When you put the automation in place, that frees up your time to concentrate on the advanced analytics. We recognized right away in that first year that the amount of FTEs that we would have to acquire to do that work was a significant amount of money. It just stepped us into automation of many things that we do. That frees us up to be able to do a more mature analysis, and not that day-to-day stuff that you we have to track.

Not everybody's budget allows for having a team of 20. We just don't have that. It's saving us a lot of money in FTEs.

For example, within our functions group and our larger finance organization, we have a number of use cases where people are doing a lot of manual work, mostly in Excel. This has enabled us to move away from that, resulting in not only streamlined processes and efficiencies but also a significant increase in our ability to have confidence in that data. If the need arises, we may need to refresh data or revisit something.

It essentially automates what would otherwise be some extremely tedious activities to rerun and re-perform.

We provided the whole consulting delivery on a single tool with reporting and automated PowerPoint presentations.

Alteryx has cut down on time spent cleaning and transforming the data. It improved productivity. Transitioning from PoC to other users was seamless. The users upskilled quickly, so they could take ownership without a steep learning curve.

Alteryx speeds up the time to obtain business answers/insights on data. It can quickly process huge amounts of data. It allows you to have your business prepare their own data sets, and it can even be used by IT people. The speed of processing is impressive to get something in minutes that would normally take you a couple of days or weeks.

Shortens the time required to start analyzing data and looking for insights, minimizing the tasks that do not add value to the business and maximizing the analysis phase. 

Alteryx has made us more agile and increased the speed and effectiveness of decision making.

I haven't worked much with Alteryx because my primary work is in Informatica. I work with it only when I don't have any option or it is too tedious to work in Informatica for a particular file or schedule a load. For example, if the load will fail in Informatica, or it will not allow the rest of the stream to continue, I use Alteryx. In Alteryx, I have that option. I can have a dedicated flow that will run for that particular file. For my 100% ETL work, 10% work is in Alteryx, and 90% is in Informatica. So, I haven't explored it much, but whenever any requirement comes, I work on it. So far, I was able to utilize it for whatever I need. Everything I needed was already there.

Alteryx has improved our organization because it provides an easy way to build machine learning models as well as to do citizen data science work.

Everything was manual and repetitive. With Alteryx, instead of spending three hours preparing the reports, it will only take them two minutes because everything is connected to the database.

It provides opportunities to do some pretty complex tasks easily, without having to worry about the Java. The tools are built-in. You just plug and play, drag and drop, once you understand how to use the tools, it is easy.

The solution has improved our organization by enhancing the speed by which we can pull data.

It allows for manipulation and automation, which has greatly reduced the amount of time required per project.

Non-computer-savvy business users used to require periodic and ad-hoc reports to spot trends or so they could work with our customers on spend allocation. Some of these reports took days or weeks to compile. Alteryx allowed us to access all the data, blend it, and output it as a dashboard for the user to access any time they needed it. It took the strain off the reporting team and it gave the user a simple interface from which to work.

We create workflows to automate central reporting and visualize data directly in Tableau. 

We use Alteryx everyday. Using the product, we earn a lot of time, which is used to do other tasks.

It saves time on a lot projects.

The solution allows us to manage our databases data.

I think that our success with this product is mixed. It has probably gotten some people started easily or fairly easily on extracting data. But I also think that to some extent, it puts a limitation on us, because I don't think that we really realized the training that you need in order to be really strong in the product.

The ease-of-use has allowed our business users to directly create their own solutions without the use of additional development resources.

Alteryx automated some manual standard processes and the workflow is easy to maintain. Staff do not need to wait for IT to prepare data once a data warehouse is set up. The output can be shared within the company which other teams can make use of to reduce rework. Advanced analytics such customer response prediction, time series demand forecast can be done without a PhD.

We can now provide a single source of truth and build a bigger picture.

It gives the power back to the end-users. It brings flexibility and accuracy to our new analytics.

It helped us reduce time blending data from multiple sources into one file. Our analyst’s time was cut from two days to one hour of data blending and the output was amazing! And we could map out file-run predictive analytics in the same tool.

It has helped across my organization.

Let's say we have a client that has been mostly using Excel for their data preparation, data casing, etc. By using Alteryx, they now spend most of their time in the data prep and then just go to reporting. It saves a lot of time.
