I can't speak about the specifics of our licensing. Our operating costs are all shared and allocated. That helps keep the cost down.

I rate the tool's pricing a two out of ten. 

We use the free version of the solution. There are enterprise licenses available. It cost approximately $5,000 annually. It is an expensive solution and there are additional features that cost more money.

The cost of Alteryx is approximately $2,900 annually.

In my opinion, it's actually quite expensive. I frequently encounter numerous students who approach me, seeking the appropriate path to undertake. I assist them in learning tools of this nature, which can equip them for extensive data manipulation tasks since they exhibit keen interest. They are very interested in learning how to use Alteryx, but the license price is too high for most students, especially in India, where I'm from.

For business licenses, I don't really care because my organization is already paying for them. They get a subsidized rate because they have also purchased licenses for other products from Alteryx. I think if Alteryx could reduce the price of licenses for students and other younger professionals, it would help them a lot. These are the people who will promote Alteryx's solutions to others.

Take me, for example. I used Alteryx in my previous company. Now I work for a different company in the US. When I first started at my new company, my team was not convinced that we needed an ETL tool. But I was able to convince them to give Alteryx a try because I had experience with it and I knew how it could benefit our company.

If Alteryx could provide licenses to younger professionals at a cheaper price, it would help them learn about Alteryx and its capabilities. This would lead to more people using Alteryx, which would benefit Alteryx in the long run.

The pricing is reasonable; however, if you need a lot of licenses, it will get expensive. 

It's very expensive. I'd rate it a four out of ten in terms of the price. It's great for big companies but not for small companies.

It's more expensive than Tableau, for example.

There has been some scrutiny on the overall costs. We're trying to go to more open-source, with more products that don't cost so much. I have to continually work with folks on proving that the value of what we pay in licenses.

The solution has recently changed its support process and is now pressuring users to pay for a higher level of support services. That could potentially be an extra charge for some companies. 

The solution has a more costly license than other tools in the market.

It's not cheap, but they offer a variety of packages to help you grow in practices and programs that allow you to scale effectively while also testing how deep the use can penetrate while allowing you to really reduce the risk. They offer various bundles in which they offer free licenses as well, so you can essentially see if you're able to use them consistently. Then, the next time, you can add that number or various other programs. It's probably on the pricey side, but they provide some really useful ways to grow and test.

If you're serious about scaling, you'll need a product manager, which is a major cost aside from the license.

I tested the solution for a long time so I never actually bought the software, although Alteryx is very costly. In comparison, KNIME is free.

To start with Alteryx, you need to pay for the desktop. The desktop platform costs $5,000 per year. You probably get more support with Alteryx, and it's good for non-sophisticated users who can benefit from the support included in the price.

The price could be better. Though we are satisfied with the solution, we feel the price to be a bit on the expensive side. We make use of another ETL solution, the PowerCenter. We would like to improve on and escalate Alteryx, but find it too expensive at the moment to do so.

The licensing costs are around 26,000 reals, perhaps $6,500 a year.

The licensing is all inclusive. There are no further costs. 

Our approximate cost as we understand from the company is that the total is $5,000 per user per year for the desktop production license. So, for us and the ten licenses we need, that means the production license would be around $50,000 per year. That might not be the exact number, but I think it is close enough to be correct. With that, there are not any additional costs. Probably you can pay for support and for training if you want something like a dedicated workshop. That might cost more as an add-on but there is no additional cost for using the tool itself.  

The solution is now quite expensive. You need to have a budget for it. However, if you do, it is worth the cost.

Alteryx isn't extortionately expensive, but it's not cheap either. I'd rate its pricing as three out of five.

I don't deal with licensing. I can't speak to the exact cost of the solution. 

A designer and scheduler for $13K/year in total is pretty much earning you the money back in time and in other resources.

The server is a big bet and you need at least 10-15 people with designers or 60-70 people for the continuous use of analytic apps. Otherwise, it's too early to scale up and out.

The solution is expensive. We have purchased its yearly license.

I rate the solution's pricing as a ten, as it is highly priced.

Opt for the three year subscription. It is 20% less than the yearly one.

It is $4,000 a year, so it is cheap versus other solutions. It also accomplishes three times the volume on the job in the same time (as the other solutions).

I don't handle the licensing aspect of the product. I can say that we have to have an enterprise license. Currently and periodically that gets challenged and they try to take it away and we honestly have a hard time finding a tool that could replace it. Therefore, we wind up keeping it. It's happened several times.

The license price of the solution is expensive.

I rate the price of Alteryx a nine out of ten.

My organization pays for it, and I do not look into the financial aspect of the licensing, but I know it is pretty expensive.

The server pricing is high.

I'm not sure of the exact cost of the solution. It's not an aspect of the product I deal with directly.

The designer version has a list price of $5,995 USD. The server version is even more expensive because it is only for collaboration. The designer license is needed to access the servers for collaboration, which in my opinion is expensive.

Alteryx is an expensive solution.

It is a little bit pricey. The desktop version is cheaper, it is on a one year license. And, if you want to do anything on an enterprise name it is quite expensive. The current pricing model may get to be too much in three to four years time.

We have a few hundred office licenses so far.

I haven't compared the solution to other licenses and therefore cannot really specify if it's the most expensive option or not, or if the current pricing is unreasonable. This is the tool our company's IT team selected for us and we can use it if we need it. It's not something I chose. It's something my company provides as a tool from an ETL standpoint.

The pricing of the solution is a bit on the expensive side. We use an Alteryx Server and Designer as well. The server itself is a bit pricey.

It has a good price.

They have the complete licensing package. There are yearly licenses and other combinations. 

It’s quite pricey for an Alteryx Designer license (~$5200 for a one-year subscription), but once you use the product, you won’t want to go back to whatever you were using before.

The cost of the solution could be reduced.

The licensing model that they use makes it a very expensive proposition for many companies. It requires buying a server, as it is only on-premises. 

In order to have designers, and, if you want to collaborate, you have to buy a server. If the designer is $5,000, and if you want a server, you have to pay $80,000.

Licensing is on an annual basis but I don't work in procurement so I have no idea of the cost. 

The designer license costs 5000 euros. The server edition is 1000 euros. 

There is a license required for this solution.

The license is really expensive, we cannot afford to have two or three. It takes away all the budget of my area.

We have a yearly cost that we pay for the licensing. We do not pay any costs in addition to the licensing fees. The technical support is included as part of the fees that we pay.  

It is not cheap. So I would suggest you start with a trial and then evaluate how many licenses you need for your analysts. Basically, I do believe each analyst – regardless of whether they are in the sales operation, data analytics, or planning – requires one license. When they acquire the skills of how to use it, the ROI will be much larger than you can imagine.

Its price should be lower. The key thing that we see is that talking about ROI is an important element at the time of purchase. Cost becomes a factor in every discussion. Justifying the ROI for these kinds of workflows is always a challenge, and the only way to counter the challenge is by addressing the pricing.

The seat is too expensive.

I don't have any idea how much the solution costs. I don't deal with that aspect of the solution. I do believe the pricing is publicly listed on their website.

Since we're partners, we get licenses. That said, from the feedback I hear, the price is a little bit more on the expensive side.

We do yearly subscriptions. There are machine learning suites that do come at an extra cost as well. 

The price for Alteryx Designer is reasonable but the price of the Alteryx Server for universal collaborations is too expensive.

Buy a single desktop license, and if more is needed, you can expand. Initially I would advise clients to start with the 14-day trial license.

There are some implementation services and internal effort costs at the beginning but there is nothing else.

I don't know much about the licensing, but there are some additional costs for certain features.
