Amazon Lightsail Room for Improvement
To improve, I feel the disk management is too basic. I can't easily partition the disk for the operating system. I have to follow the main configuration that is already set up in the template.
To partition the disk, I would need to deploy the operating system first and then make changes, but it's not an ideal method. I would recommend improving the disk management.
View full review »There is certainly room for improvement in Amazon Lightsail since it competes with services like Cloudways. While it offers a scaled-down version of what Amazon Web Services provides, such as EC2 and RDS, it still needs to be enhanced further.
Another area of improvement is support. Currently, there is limited support available while installing or configuring it, and resources are primarily available through community-contributed articles. Therefore, there's a need for better support and documentation to make it even more helpful and user-friendly.
View full review »When you need to add some custom rules to Amazon Lightsail, the auto scaling feature is a bit difficult. You can create custom rules while using a Lambda function or EC2 EKS cluster, but it's not feasible to do so in Amazon Lightsail.

In the next release, they need better integration with Oracle, Big Data systems, and DevOps. In general, with new serverless technology and microservices architecture, they need to do more on an enterprise scale. As it is now, I see this as a PoC or at a basic consumer level. I don't see this solution as enterprise-ready, for bigger companies like banks.
