Some of the essential aspects that organizations consider when selecting a product like ETG, which offers tracing tools, bug tracking, AI capabilities, scalability, and performance-related features, include strong community support. Having a robust community can be invaluable for finding solutions to various problems, especially during migrations and other challenges. Large companies tend to favor such products because of their established user communities and excellent support. While there may be alternative products with advanced API management features, they often fall short in terms of the support they provide, making products like Apigee a preferred choice.               

The most important feature is the security capabilities and the way it integrates very quickly with other security providers. We have integrated it with Azure and it integrates quite seamlessly. Other valuable features include the API management and monitoring.

The most valuable features of Apigee for me are analytics, security, ease of use, and integration capabilities. Additionally, built-in cache, Key-Value Maps, and Q-value mappings enhance performance and flexibility.

The solution offers the best API management in the world. They have a lot of features. Their capchaing is very good.

The security that you have with Apigee is very good and aligns with compliance. It’s easy to manage in the development kit or tool you have to create, and that process is very easy to create, and the metrics you can get from the traffic of Apigee are excellent as well.

The solution offers an advantage over other kinds of API management. I don't want to select one, however, as no one is not going to be your silver bullet for solving a problem. However, in terms of my favorite aspect, the capchaing is excellent due to the time of response with Apigee. It’s about one millisecond, and that time is very remarkable for a client.

Items around the mobilization of the API interface and the ability to automate validations for our APIs are the most valuable aspects.

We find great value in the ability to segregate distinct projects within the system and extract security statistics. Its flexibility allows seamless management of different products, showcasing scalability to handle extensive solutions. Whether dealing with hundreds or thousands of nickel services, this configuration enables us to sustain ongoing work effectively, ensuring real and efficient management of diverse IT projects.

The analytics feature is quite good. We can look at all the statistics, how many requests coming in, how many requests going out, what type of failures are happening, what is the performance of the APIs on those features. The solution helps us to track whenever there is an issue that comes in.

The most valuable feature of Apigee is its simplicity of deploying an API and restricting access, like rate limit, with the API.

The usability is one of the best aspects of the product. It's broadly used in different functional areas. There is no specific one. It's used broadly almost in all the contexts that we have.

It's easy to set up.

Technical support is helpful and responsive.

The stability is great.

The solution is quite strong in security. It provides integrations, OAuth mechanisms, and token-based integrations. We have integrated some identity providers. We can customize the dashboard. The tool provides a lot of custom monitoring dashboards. We can track the API usage analytics. Apigee gives us a lot of parameters to track.

We can decide what to turn on or off and build the dashboards accordingly. We have built an analytics dashboard. We have built dashboards to see the usage trends, performance of the APIs, and degradation seen by API consumers. Monetization is a strong feature. We haven’t used it, though. The developer portal feature is very rich. We have also built a portal on Apigee using ReactJs. The developer portal is good.

The live tracking API feature of the product is Apigee's most valuable component.

The most valuable feature of the current version of Apigee, such as Apigee Edge, is that the maintenance and scalability of the service are not our responsibility. As a SaaS platform, Google takes care of it, ensuring the system is stable. Another valuable feature is the ability to customize the platform extensively. We can add JavaScript functionality to cater to any use case that is not available out of the box.

The solution, overall, is quite good.

We have been using Apigee mostly for proxy FGIs. We also use its security features as well as traffic control features.

One of the concepts offered with this solution is called Productization. This concept allows you to bundle the APIs together and present them to clients as products, which allows you to configure the API with restricted access for different clients. An example of this would be Client A is granted access as read-only and able to do a few updates, whereas Client B would have full access to the APIs. You can configure different products for them in such a way that one of the products would have limited access, and the other would be granted full access. You are not creating another API, rather you are using the same proxy with limited access to the proxy. This is one of the features that has helped us a lot. 

We have APIs that we use internally and externally for clients outside of our network using the cloud with a SaaS solution that needs to access our API. The same API we use internally is the same API we expose externally. The level of security is different for internal applications and for external applications. To accommodate both we use the same API but add additional security features to the APIs.

The most valuable features are low-code play, quick packaging, and production.

I think the most valuable features are the security features. Of course, the user access control is the same as the security. The other very important issue is the sandboxing capability of Apigee.

There are a few features that are quite interesting. We can provide our API developer with an API proxy to the developer portal, which comes in handy. There are also some interesting policies, like authentication where we normally provide any code and quotas and rate limit policies for protection. The administration and monitoring features are also quite useful as you can receive alerts and notifications and monitor them on a virtual dashboard. There are just a lot of security features in general.

With Apigee, we can easily monitor applications, and our core IT team informed me that installing upgrades is very simple. We also have a portal where we can share our proxies with the convenors, which is quite useful.

Apigee's certification is beneficial.

I like the customized tools included with Aigee such as CI/CD.

Apigee integrates well with Kubernetes, Atos, Jira, Microsoft Teams, as well as ServiceNow.

The ability to convert from language to language using the same tool without needing different developer teams to deploy is a valuable feature. It doesn't require a lot of skill to run Apigee and the security features are good. This is a powerful tool for API management. 

It's easy to use and the security features are valuable.

Apigee provides out-of-the-box policies, so it is ready to use with minimal configuration to those policies. You can govern your API and manage the life cycle of the API completely with the Apigee tool.

You can use the documentation through the API portal and integrate it with the open API specification, and then design and create your API process.

When we compare Apigee with Mulesoft, we find that Mulesoft provides many out-of-box connectors to your legacy applications and it is now part of Salesforce. It was acquired by Salesforce. It has hundreds of soft connectors available and an exchange place where you can put your reusable assets. A similar kind of thing is available in Apigee as well, where developers start putting their assets which can be reused.

We have found APA management and API health monitoring valuable.

The ease of creating policies has been the most useful of the solution's features. It's a quick ramp-up time. It's easy for our support staff to implement the policies in the API management layer.

The solution is great in general. There are many categories of APIs that need to be maintained. It helps maintain and add rules to manage open banking. 

The solution is stable.

The initial setup isn't too complex.

It can expand well. Google seems to be moving into the cloud more than on-premises and the cloud makes scaling easier.

I simply like how you can personalize your products and put them into product categories. That's what I like the most.

The tool is one of the earliest API management products and is good. It reduces the Time To Market aspects of products.

The central monitoring feature is the most valuable. It also provides security for the APIs and high availability for our use cases.

Apigee is the best product in the industry in comparison to other API management solutions. It helps in fast development, which is a top point. It also supports a lot of industry standards and has excellent documentation.

I have not had the opportunity to completely explore the product's capabilities in the time that we have been using it. But I can say that the customization is really vast and it is a really good feature built into the product. I can customize different authentication methods and methods for authorization. I can also use redaction. So security is flexible to our needs and it works well.  

The features I found most valuable are how the APIs are published, the whole process of finalizing the API, and then controlling it.

Apigee is relatively easy to use for developers.

One feature I found most valuable in Apigee is its simplicity. All features remain the same in all of the API tools, and I have experience with IBM API Connect and Apigee, but Apigee is easier to work with, plus the learning curve is not that steep.

Another thing I like about this solution is that the support is really good, and this gives Apigee advantage over other providers.

I like the development feature of Apigee. You will find it easier to work with Apigee than IBM API Connect.

One of the best parts of this solution is the implementation as we did not need to use code or out-of-box policies. When it comes to the cloud-based architecture, there is a high level of reliability.

Apigee has proven to be one of the best of the breed. Others are attempting to innovate and are succeeding. So we don't know how innovations will be distributed, Azure, Amazon. Amazon, without a doubt, is lagging, but I've recently heard in the reinventing that they're working on a lot of API-related innovations. So you can't say that they'll be lagging behind as they are catching up.

The REST API allows for faster user engagement.

The flexibility allows you to quickly run a cloud-native application architecture.

Apigee's best features are flexibility and breadth of capabilities.

I like Apigee's automatic plates.

There is less CLI needed compared to other options. It's more user-friendly and easier to navigate. 

Everything is working well. We haven't had issues.

This solution offers a lot of flexibility in its features. Other tools like IBM Data Power have limited capability when it comes to features like data control, VPN management and monitoring. 

API/proxy lifecycle workflow for API providers is quite good and one of Apigee's strongest features. Also, like the completeness of the CLI and admin REST services, the Edge engine provides powerful, integrated analytics, which are noteworthy.  

Many of the features available are valuable to us including out-of-the-box policies, the vacant creation, throttling and more. We are using authentication and authorization which are also good features. 

The capabilities are very powerful.

Apigee is a great product with good feedback and recommendations from clients.

It is easy to use from a developer perspective and a customer perspective. 

It is easy to set up. It is on Google Platform, and there are multiple deployment models they support, which is great.

Apigee is a pioneer in the industry and has good features and functionalities. It is a good tool for API management and it has more advancements than all other tools in the market in certain areas.

It has many features, such as flexibility, coding writing, and JavaScripting.

The analytics function and the developer portal are the two valuable features of Apigee. The analytics part is very good, and the developer portal is quite rich in features.

The authentication mechanisms are quite easily built into Apigee, which is something that most of the other products have also now started supporting.

Overall the solution works well, it is one of the best solutions on the market. There is plenty of support documentation available.

I like implementing different policies, for example, rate-limiting policy. We can create a custom rate-limiting policy, and we can have an application-specific rate-limiting policy. That's what we're implementing or using, and I like that feature.

It is very easy to implement and the configuration of the API is very simple.

It is easy to upload a Swagger file and build an API.

The user interface for building APIs is very simple. Anyone with basic knowledge can build an API.

Disaster recovery capabilities are included.

I have found the most valuable features to be tracing a proxy, and managing proxy versions and revisions via the Edge UI component.

It provides for an on-prem setup. That's very important for us. As the regulation of communication policies. To be able to provide the telecom companies that tool and install their products on-prem for easy management via cloud inside Saudi Arabia is great.

Developer portal

It is a Drupal-based portal for onboarding of developers and catering your API documentation. They have this feature called Smart Docs, which allows developers to not only get to know the API documentation but directly make the request and see the response. They have the ability to consume OpenAPI specs formerly know as Swagger Spec. Considering the fact that it is based on Drupal, the portal gives you damn good control on the documentation, content delivery, and developer onboarding. With a little customization, you can integrate any kind of workflow into this portal.

Monetization

Monetization is another good feature which provides a revenue model around your APIs. Many of the enterprises are looking for these kinds of options, get their offerings as API and generate revenue out of it. Analytics

This another great feature of the platform. They capture the details of all the incoming and outgoing traffic of your APIs. Based on 300+ default dimensions you can generate beautiful and insightful reports on usage and consumption of APIs. This can also be used to find out performance and errors troubleshooting. They have default reports for proxy performance, target performance, error analysis, cache performance, latency analysis, developer engagement and traffic composition. On top of these, you can generate custom reports based on the dimensions captured by Apigee.

Another feature of analytics is that you can add your own dimensions and do business analytics on top of API analytics. Being acquired by Google, we can expect that Google will add some good features around it or maybe they will push this component to Google’s analytics engine. BaaS is based on Apache’s Usergrid, which provides a back end as a service. This is a No-SQL database and gives you ample flexibility with a RESTful interface for data storage. I have worked on Apigee Edge and Apigee Dev Portal. Specifically, in Apigee Edge, the elements like products, developer, developer apps, and API proxies are interlinked with each other. Another special feature is configuring target servers, proxy config, and Cert related security, which regularizes incoming traffic from cloud users or external applications to internal applications in a secured manner.

The following features are most valuable: API Management, Analytics, Quota, and the Developer Portal.

There are many features, which I have felt are very useful and easy to implement at flows.
