Arcserve UDP Previous Solutions
We are using Veeam Backup at the same time as Arcserve UDP and Veeam Backup is more specialized in VMware and cloud backups.
View full review »We started with Veeam, but we didn't enjoy it because there were a lot of support issues. We dropped it and focused on Arcserve. In the coming year, we might add one or two more solutions as we go forward. It depends on how they offer cloud services in India because we are considering cloud integration.

Both Acronis and Arcserve UDP are good solutions. We sell Acronis to people who need applications on the cloud. For Arcserve UDP, we target hybrid and on-premise users. We don't have much experience with Acronis.

We used a different solution before. We could restore our files quickly, but if we had to restore the whole server, it would take ages, or they have to send us the restoration on a drive. In Arcserve, we can quickly create an instant VM.

We hadn't used a previous solution. We tend to use Arcserve backup and the UDP together. So, we had nothing like UDP.
View full review »I have previously used Nakivo and Veeam backup solutions. The main differences between StorageCraft ShadowProtect and the other two are in StorageCraft ShadowProtect we do not have a centralized console for backups of desktops, servers, or virtual servers.
View full review »We used to provide Veeam Backup, as well as Acronis. The pricing for continuous replication is higher than for this solution.

I used Backup Exec before. I switched because UDP is agentless, which works well for my VMware backup to disk, as well as being easy to sync with the remote site
