Aruba ClearPass Other Solutions Considered
We did a proof of concept with Cisco ISE but chose the solution because we liked its seamless integration experience.

Team leader technical support at a manufacturing company with 201-500 employees
We evaluated other on-premises solutions, but they aren't very comparable to Aruba.

Forescout and ClearPass are both trying to build their system as an open platform for everyone which is why their reachability is very high. If you're using ClearPass or Forescout, you can use any open switches on the market. Cisco has a limited category that it has developed for its own products and infrastructure. If you use different switches and different Wi-Fi, it doesn't provide the pure solution inside.

We compared Cisco ISE before choosing Aruba ClearPass. Aruba ClearPass is better to use, especially if you have a mixed environment from different deployers or different hardware, it scales better.

We looked at Pulse Policy Secure as a possible option. In some areas it has more flexibility than Clearpass but Clearpass came out on top in the end. Policy Secure has some ability issues and lack of good support.
Because Aruba was our primary vendor for our access points, it just made more sense for us to try to consolidate more services towards the new strategy.

I did some research before choosing Aruba ClearPass. I looked at open NAC and some of the other proprietary systems.
View full review »There were two in total, Cisco and Aruba. We chose Aruba because their technical support was more responsive and knowledgeable than we had with Cisco.

View full review »I shopped six WiFi companies for a year before I decided on going with Aruba. Since then, I have replaced all of my Cisco products, with Aruba except the core, which I installed Juniper. This year Aruba has developed a premium core system, and we are putting it in. I like the fact Aruba has cloud or on-prem controllers. I like managing my own environments, so I use on-prem.
We are an “Aruba House”.
We chose this product because we are using Aruba in other areas today.
