Aruba Networks Wireless WAN Stability

MichaelGrady - PeerSpot reviewer
Chairman at Gracon Services, Inc.

Once Aruba Wireless is set up and configured correctly, you just walk away. That's what we like about it. We have some devices that are six or seven years old, which is rare in the wireless world because everything changes so quickly, but in some banks and municipalities, it just keeps working.

The longest product that has been deployed has stayed intact for almost ten years, and the main company plans to go for a renewal process. I have not lost any access points in the ten years I have used the product. The solution deployed four years ago has been working fine since its deployment.

The stability, in general, is good. We have problems from time to time; however, for those cases, most of the time, it's related to users. They might have patches that need to be installed or things like that.

It's generally reliable and there are no bugs or glitches.

Aruba Networks Wireless WAN stability is good. It has a low failure rate. I don't typically do service, but the failure rates are less than or equal to their largest competitors. It's a pretty stable environment.

The solution is quite stable. There are no bugs or glitches. It doesn't crash or freeze. It is reliable.

If you have a small setup, it's quite easy to manage. You don't need to have the big hardware in place. If you have a very large infrastructure setup you might need to have a traditional WiFi setup.

System Engineer - Network at PT.Helios Informatika Nusantara

It is a stable solution.

There are no issues with the performance or the connection offered by the product. Sometimes, when in our company, we want to trade it with the new access points and use Aruba's RMA process, we have seen the process could be completed in just a day, but there have been occasions where it could take, like, three or four days, meaning there are inconsistencies like that in Aruba's RMA process.

Considering no issues, I believe the product's stability is a nine out of ten.

The stability is quite good. The stability relies on complete network deployment. If the network deployment is not good, and all the features are not used correctly, any solution can provide instability if not implemented correctly.

No, not at all. It's very stable. The benefit of Aruba over Meraki is that even with the management software (subscription based) if you don't pay your subscription, the software still work. It's good that the wireless access points still work, unlike with Meraki.
