When comparing Bitbucket and GitHub, we initially used on-premises GitHub, where we handled maintenance, including patching and updates. This became somewhat challenging and required more management efforts, prompting us to switch to Bitbucket.

I still use Jira and Confluence and have done for many years. It's the same support model for all tools, just like Bitbucket.

We were using GitHub before switching to Bitbucket. We do not trust corporations, because we do not want to make our private code available to these corporations. We do not want to just put it on a public site and therefore we switched to Bitbucket.

From my point of view, the setup for the Atlassian product was better than other products but had less to offer as a system. I tried to switch to TFS (Team Foundation Server), a Microsoft product, and I couldn't use that because I loved this user interface system in the BitBucket product more than TFS.

I have only taken demos for products before and did not use anything. It was mainly the license solution. I was searching in several websites, and all of them were talking good things about the Atlassian solution. So I decided to give it a try.

I use GitHub, which is also fine. We chose Bitbucket because it was a smooth transition from on-prem to cloud. We were already using the on-prem solution, so it was smooth and easy.

Apart from Bitbucket, I have experience with GitHub. GitHub and Bitbucket are almost the same. I don't have any preference between GitHub and Bitbucket since I don't use the tools to their fullest capabilities. I use the aforementioned tools as a basic repository in my company.

I have used GitHub and it has more features than Bitbucket. Additionally, I have used GitLab.

GitHub is a more mature solution compared to Bitbucket. The search capability has improved in GitHub since they are integrated with Opensoft. You can create your workflow and actions and it becomes easier to do things. GitHub can help a lot. The only season why our organization didn't adopt it is because of the high pricing.

We are using Bamboo and Bitbucket simultaneously right now. Before Bitbucket, we were using CVS.

We made the switch over to Bitbucket as part of a company-wide migration to the cloud. CVS can only be deployed on-premise while Bitbucket is on the cloud. Also, the code review process for request concepts and the team collaboration Bitbucket facilitates makes it much more friendly and modern.

We were using something else initially. We switched to Bitbucket as it is a cloud version and we need to support multiple locations; people from multiple locations are accessing the code. Until now, it has been quite helpful.
