Good technical support and supports rapid deployment of multiple bots

What is our primary use case?

We are a service provider and this is one of the solutions that we offer for our clients.

Pros and Cons

  • "The most valuable feature is the rapid deployment of multiple bots."
  • "There should be more support for developing in environments such as Citrix and Linux."

What other advice do I have?

Overall, this is a pretty good product and nobody else in the market is providing RPA at this level. I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.

User-friendly with a web-based interface that is platform independent

What is our primary use case?

We have some processes in HR and finance that we are automating. Examples of this are finding bills and then creating bonus reports for employees. Another example is invoice processing.

Pros and Cons

  • "The ability to drag and drop various components and the customizability are good features."
  • "I would like to be able to access BotForm using a mobile app."

What other advice do I have?

This is a product that I recommend and we will be moving to the cloud version in the future. My advice to anybody who is considering this solution is to first check your prerequisites in terms of hardware and system requirements that are needed for the installation. This is important. I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.

Easy to run scripts and the latest version has good improvements

Pros and Cons

  • "They recently released the newest version that has a good program flow, quality, and blueprints that are all good improvements to the automation. They also have good integration with SAP."
  • "The new version is not very stable. Sometimes I can't use the recording sound."

What other advice do I have?

It is a good solution. I would recommend it. I would rate it an eight out of ten. To make it a ten it should be more user-friendly. The community version should also be more stable. It should allow the user to directly download and install without the need to deploy through the SAS system. They should also have more video material and guidelines.

User-friendly, with helpful cognitive controls, but the machine learning capability needs to be enhanced

Pros and Cons

  • "The best aspect is the UI, as it is very user-friendly."
  • "The machine learning needs to be improved so that they perform better in terms of predictive analysis and sentiment analysis."

What other advice do I have?

My advice for anybody who is considering this solution is to have a proof of concept first. It is important because it may be that some of the features required by the client are not included in BotFarm. As this is a very user-friendly product, it can scale into the organization once the PoC is complete. I would rate this solution a seven out of ten.

Good customer support but some technical issues need to be addressed

What is our primary use case?

I have used BotFarm to automate web applications and Microsoft products. I have also automated mainframe applications for a healthcare product. I automated around five to six processes for them. All together I have automated more than fifteen processes with this solution that we have deployed in-house.

Pros and Cons

  • "Automation Anywhere provides a very flexible UI."
  • "Sometimes I feel like it doesn't work properly and we are not able to provide the dexterity needed."

What other advice do I have?

It’s hard to give any advice without seeing the project you are working with. If you want to purchase any RPA tool, then I’d have to check the project or your process so that I can identify the requirement and I can see which product will completely fulfill your requirement. Make sure to choose your solution based completely on the project you wish to automate. In other words, I can’t give you any direct answer. If you’re automating a web application, then I would use UiPath. If you’re also automating their applications but you have to automate PDFs as well, then I would definitely choose…

Good PDF extraction and emailing capabilities, with responsible and helpful support

What is our primary use case?

We use BotForm for predicting the suppliers for a particular client. There are multiple suppliers and we have to find the ones who are coming under the Middle Market and Public Labor Department. There are some criteria, and we use that together with the Bot to trace all of the PDF documents and webpages to see if there are any suppliers in those categories.

Pros and Cons

  • "The most valuable features are PDF extraction and emailing."
  • "When somebody is just learning this product it can be difficult for them to understand, so improvements to the user interface would be helpful."

What other advice do I have?

We pay approximately $15,000 USD per year.

Great feature sets, stable, and scalable

What is our primary use case?

Our main customers are in the financial, banking, and insurance sectors. They use the co-location on the credit processes and insurance claims.

Pros and Cons

  • "The solution seems to offer high stability. We haven't seen any bugs or glitches. It doesn't crash or freeze."
  • "The licensing schemes could be more competitive. They need to be much more flexible in their pricing."

What other advice do I have?

We are a consulting services provider. We are working on automation. Often deal with public cloud and hybrid deployment models. Overall, I'd rate the solution ten out of ten.

Good dashboards and analytics with an easy initial setup

What is our primary use case?

We primarily have different use cases within finance and HR as well as in IT operations.

Pros and Cons

  • "The initial setup is pretty straightforward."
  • "We have connectivity and integration with pretty much every single tech stack across the table that we have in the world, and there are a few areas that they don't do that well yet. I'd be looking for some improvement there, in terms of their integration with certain products."

What other advice do I have?

We're just customers. We're using the latest version of the solution right now. I would recommend the solution to other companies if they are looking at an extensive integration across the tech stack within their organization. I would advise that if a company seriously considers the product, that they speak really clearly with Automation Anywhere. They need to ensure that their company will have the support they need, and if they do, they should consider proceeding. Overall, we've been happy with the solution. I would rate it at a nine out of ten.

Its scalability and portability are the most valuable, and it has helped us with process integrity and reduction of human errors and manual effort

What is our primary use case?

We have basically automated business operations and IT operation processes that require human intervention. These processes are also very repetitive and have chances of error. We have developed bots for such tasks, and as per our needs, we are scaling them up by using BotFarm. We have a hybrid deployment comprising Azure cloud and on-premises deployments.

Pros and Cons

  • "BotFarm has been working perfectly fine with our business model. Its scalability is the most valuable feature. We can easily scale out bots on a need basis. Portability is another valuable feature. We work with different payment systems like Visa and MasterCard and have bots for them. Because of BotFarm, we are able to reuse these bots."
  • "The only challenge that we have faced with BotFarm is that there is no continuous deployment. The whole world is moving to the DevOps model, but BotFarm is still not on the DevOps model. It should have integration with the DevOps model. The migration of the bots or bots pipeline is currently purely manual."

What other advice do I have?

I would advise others to do a thorough discovery and walkthrough of processes and then decide based on what suits their requirements. Sometimes people think that they can go to a pure cloud model, hybrid model, or on-premises model, but they should first identify the requirements and processes. They should go for what is required for their organization's needs. They shouldn't go for BotFarm just because it is good. It should also meet their needs. I would rate BotFarm an eight out of ten. It is a good and evolving technology, and it can be very helpful for different business operations. I have…

An expensive solution, providing an easy setup with little maintenance, but lacks AI-driven capabilities for full automation

What is our primary use case?

The primary use case is to use the bot peer-to-peer (P2P) billing. We deal with a few customers where we automate billed services for accounts received with invoice, debit and credit notes.

Pros and Cons

  • "The system is stable and very little maintenance is required, assuming the bots process is perfectly designed."
  • "I have called customer service three times and the experience has not been good. They do not offer 24/7 support, which forces us to wait till the next working day to solve a problem."

Useful features, highly stable, and priced well

What is our primary use case?

We use the solution to automate the use cases for our clients. We have automized the day-to-day work of their order management system.

Pros and Cons

  • "The main features of the solution are the IQ Bot and web-based automation."
  • "We do have some troubles with the internal software commands, but we have been troubleshooting this bug to fix it."

What other advice do I have?

I would recommend this solution to others. I would advise any of your new developers to start using it as soon as possible, it will be beneficial for them to get started. I rate BotFarm ten out of ten.

Reliable and easy to use with good dashboards

What is our primary use case?

There are numerous use cases for the solution for various departments, including weight inspection, or trade ops, or compliance. It's often used for document processing. For example, we receive annual reports from lots of companies that are listed on the stock exchange. To check those reports, there has to be some specific tables and keywords that should be in the annual report of a company. For manually processing thousands of documents, it is not feasible. This solution makes it possible and it happens fast.

Pros and Cons

  • "The dashboards are quite good, especially on the latest versions."
  • "The OCR tool, the optical character recognition tool, could be more efficient."

What other advice do I have?

We're partners. I started off with version 11, and currently, I'm working on 11.3.3. There's a new solution, RPA A2019. That's the new version. I have that certification, however, I have no projects for now on that. I'd recommend the solution. Automation Anywhere is a very good solution if you're looking to expand all your work areas. There are lots of businesses out there that say that they don't require this, however, once the solution is implemented using RPA, businesses themselves have a lot of time and resources to expand their research areas. The growth increases exponentially. I'd rate…
