We are using the BotFarm tool to automate any repetitive task to fulfill our client's requirements.

How has it helped my organization?

This has improved my organization by cutting down on repetitive tasks that now can be automated.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable features are the portals for extracting data from PDF files, appending data to SAP, automating the SAP, downloading reports, and mapping and creating the reports accordingly to your requirements. 

The solution is great to automate any repetitive tasks, which you might do on a daily basis. For example, the organization may need to be generating invoices or extracting data from PDF files daily. It is very versatile in what you can automate.

What needs improvement?

The OCR command needs to improve. This feature is used to convert the extracted data from an image file. While converting this file I was facing a lot of issues with the data because it was getting lost and some of the data which was extracted was mismatched. The data loss was rated as a nine and the data accuracy was a massive decrease and was up to 20%.Data extracted from ocr some times is mismatched or in accurate.

BotFarm is highly scalable. We can integrate many applications, tools, and packages. In the new release of this solution, we can create our own packages and integrate them which is a very useful feature.

We have approximately 50 employees using this solution in my organization and are planning to increase the number of developers.

How are customer service and support?

The technical support is very good and responsive. They have a help portal that is very clear and easy to use. Recently, I raised a ticket because I was not able to send an email, and the agent contacted me on the very same day a few hours later. My ticket was set to high priority and they were able to resolve the issue that same day. The support team is great and very coordinated.

You have the Automation Anyway University where you can download tools. If you have any problems you can search on the Automation Anywhere portal by completing a submission form and you will receive the information that you need.

How was the initial setup?

It is very straightforward to install. It very simple, a person with no IT background can easily do the installation and use the platform.

What about the implementation team?

We did the implementation of the solution.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

There is a license for this solution and it is on an annual basis. I am satisfied with the price.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We have evaluated other solutions, such as Blue Prism. We went with Automation Anywhere with BotFarm integrated mainly because it was cheaper.

What other advice do I have?

I am using Automation Anywhere which BotFarm is integrated and comes as a package.

In this era, every large company is trying to implement ways to automate their processes using any Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tool. Automation Anywhere comes highly recommended in the market as being very reliable. 

I would recommend this solution to others.

What is our primary use case?

BotFarm is a group of bots running on the Automation Anywhere platform.

We have a banking and invoicing system and this solution is used for the automation of operations. It includes day to day invoicing and bank-related activities. We do not have anything complicated in the data extraction.

What is most valuable?

This solution gives us the ability to switch between Chrome and IE.

Automation Anywhere has good document extraction features where it can learn patterns.

The user interface is fine.

What needs improvement?

The community forums can be improved a little bit because they have mixed solutions or discussions with respect to some ideas.

I would like to see more process mining features to give us insight into them before we develop automation.

For how long have I used the solution?

We have been using this solution for the past three months.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Compared to the other automation products that we have seen, stability is good.

We have not had to scale this solution yet.

Technical support is really good. When we have had issues, they have been able to help us. They gave us several solutions based on the challenges that we were facing.

The initial setup was pretty basic. We do not need a complicated setup here for the moment.

I installed this solution myself.

Initially, we were thinking about using another vendor but decided to stay with Automation Anywhere.

What other advice do I have?

My advice to anybody who is implementing this solution is to carefully consider what it is that you need to do because it requires planning. With the correctly planning, the RPA deployment will be stable.

What is our primary use case?

We are using it mostly for financial applications, payroll processing, attendance processing, and expense processing.

How has it helped my organization?

The payroll processing used to take about a week's time earlier. Now, that has got reduced to one day. We are seeing this kind of reduction everywhere. There is at least a five or ten times reduction in the amount of time, and more people are free to do something else. 

It has also helped a lot in the current situation where people are working from home. We are able to launch the bot from anywhere and get the work done.

What is most valuable?

It is easy to use. The learning curve was quite smooth. 

It is also a very stable and rugged product. It doesn't break in the event of increased load. Even in case of load bursts, the AA platform was able to deliver seamless service. 

What needs improvement?

Its UI could be made better. It should also be more flexible. Currently, it is more rigid, and a little more flexibility is required.

Their technical support should also be better. We are not very happy with their technical support. Its price is also quite high as of now. They should improve its price.

Its setup should also be made easier. It is quite complex to set it up. Even though we were able to set it up a little fast because we had done something similar earlier, but it has a very complex setup.

We haven't tested it for scalability because our operations are pretty small. It is a small deployment, and for our current workload, it is working quite fine. We have five or six bots, and the number will increase over a period of time. We would like to bring in more processes and use IQ Bots for some intelligent stuff, such as for reading handwritten documents. We would like to use IQ Bots, especially for invoice processing.

In terms of users, our finance and HR teams are using it. We have about 10 to 12 users.

How are customer service and technical support?

We are not very happy with their technical support. Their support should be improved.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup was quite complex, but since it has been set up, it is fine. It took a little more than a week. Its setup should be made easier.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Its price is quite high as compared to other solutions, but it has a lot of features and good stability. They should reduce its price.

What other advice do I have?

If you have a good use case, you should go ahead and use it. Ultimately, it depends on whether you have a good use case.

We are technically using it for the retail and the businesses that we have. We use it in the finance operations for the retail business, where the invoices are processed and updated in the ERP system.

What is most valuable?

The solution is useful in procurement areas in telecom and healthcare. Basically, wherever there's a POC, where the manual work can be eliminated without any intelligence, the solution is very helpful.

What needs improvement?

The solution is a bit higher on the pricing side. The prices could be more competitive or more reasonable or charge on a per-need basis. That would be more helpful instead of packaging it as a complete solution.

It would be ideal if the solution offered more language options, such as Arabic.

I've been using the solution for close to one year at this point.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The solution is very stable. We don't have issues with bugs or glitches. It doesn't crash or freeze. It's reliable and works well.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The solution is scalable. However, in terms of some areas on the language front, it's not that scalable. For me, I mostly work in the Middle East region and my customers are primarily Middle-Eastern. Arabic is the language the business works in. That is where I have a huge resistance from the business side, as the product doesn't support the Arabic language.

How are customer service and technical support?

The technical support is very good. Typically we go to our partners and they are able to easily assist us. We're satisfied with the level of service we receive.

How was the initial setup?

The initial implementation typically starts straightforward and then can get complex. 
The cloud platform, for example, has a pretty easy system. However, as you build up the system, as you scale up and further add more features to it, it becomes a little bit more expensive, complex, and bulky.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The solution is pretty expensive as it comes as a bundle or a package and we're forced to buy everything instead of just working with the parts we need when we need them. For smaller companies, this may be difficult, as they might not have the budget to pay for everything upfront.

What other advice do I have?

We're business partners with Automation Anywhere.

In our factory, we do not work hands-on on the development tasks or the day-to-day activity. I tend to supervise and manage the RPA programs.

I'd recommend the solution. It's a good application, and it's a stable one. As a company, if you feel that your ROI is pretty high and with Automation Anywhere you are able to achieve the desired ROI that you are looking for, then I would definitely say Automation Anywhere is a very good solution to adopt.

Overall, I would rate the solution eight out of ten.

What is our primary use case?

We use BotForm for predicting the suppliers for a particular client. There are multiple suppliers and we have to find the ones who are coming under the Middle Market and Public Labor Department. There are some criteria, and we use that together with the Bot to trace all of the PDF documents and webpages to see if there are any suppliers in those categories.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable features are PDF extraction and emailing.

The bot insight feature is very helpful.

What needs improvement?

When somebody is just learning this product it can be difficult for them to understand, so improvements to the user interface would be helpful. It would be nice if people could understand it right from the beginning.

In the future, I would like to see a feature for real-time chat with the support team.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working with BotFarm for about one year.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

We have found it to be stable, with no breakdown at any point. It is sustainable, as well.

The scalability is good. We have been able to scale out without any problem.

How are customer service and technical support?

We use both the community and the support team. When we create a ticket, they are very helpful. They respond quickly and there is no lag at all with the back and forth calls. They are friendly and helpful all of the time, and they fix the problem.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We use both Automation Anywhere and UiPath. We began working with Automation Anyway but for some clients, we use UiPath.

One of the advantages of Automation Anywhere is that the Bot Insight feature is built-in. It is very useful. With UiPath, it is a separate install and it is tricky to play around with, compared to Automation Anywhere, where it is very easy.

I have seen that bots run faster in Automation Anywhere than they do in UiPath.

UiPath is less expensive than Automation Anywhere.

The initial setup is simple and straightforward.

What was our ROI?

The ROI is really good.

The CL command poses an issue during the process of data conversion, accuracy, data loss and the assessment of certain data as false.

This said, IT has been very good in evolving the tool and it is doing so on a weekly or monthly basis.

For how long have I used the solution?

We have been using BotFarm for under 12 months, although not as an end user but in the context of working on the client's interface version. 

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

When it comes to stability, I prefer Automation Anywhere or UiPath, which is simple to code and to handle and has an easily obtainable platform. It has a much simpler deployment and configuration process and the tool can be easily acquired. 

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

We have not yet tried to expand the usage of the solution. This is a decision which must be made by management. 

How are customer service and support?

Last year I faced a problem and, subsequently, raised a ticket. The support team is great and they helped me to resolve the issue within three or four days.

I found the deployment to be very simple.

The licensing is generally on a yearly basis, although this can vary depending on the needs of the client. I am very happy with the pricing.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

Prior to choosing the solution, we did consider alternatives. However, we found them to be overly expensive, so we decided to go with Automation Anywhere, with whom we are now partnered. 

What other advice do I have?

Our team consists of around 15 people. 

I recommend the use of Automation Anywhere, although version 11.3.5 should be chosen, as it contains certain new commands for automation in respects of the share purchase agreement. Automation Anywhere constitutes the latest version and the addition of extra commands makes things much simpler. The previous version required one to automate via scripting and the use of MetaBot. 

I rate BotFarm as an eight out of ten.

Scalability for BotFarm is great.

We are satisfied with the technical support from Automation Anywhere. They have been helpful in solving issues, including while we are implementing BotFarm.

I have been familiar with RPA for four or five years and BotFarm represents a big step forward. Other companies are running basic RPA, whereas, with this solution, you can move towards digitalized management instead of working with a single bot.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup is pretty straightforward for people who are familiar with Automation Anywhere products. However, for people without that know-how, it can be complex.

We did have some technical issues through our implementation, but the support team is quite helpful.

The length of time required for deployment depends on the environment, but the average is between one and two weeks.

What other advice do I have?

Overall, this is a pretty good product and nobody else in the market is providing RPA at this level.

What is our primary use case?

We use BotForm for automating some of our manual tasks.

The most valuable feature is the ease of deployment.

The image processing capabilities definitely need to be improved.

We have had trouble automating processes running on Windows Server 2016. It seems to be related to integration with the Office tools, but I cannot 100% confirm this.

Technical support can be improved.

For how long have I used the solution?

We have been working with this software for approximately one year.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I would say that it is stable. We have just recently started using it on a daily bases and it seems to work as expected in 80% to 90% of the cases.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

There are several areas involved with using BotFarm including those working with infrastructure, technical people, and other areas. This makes it difficult to judge how many people we have that are using it. For example, there are managers that monitor the core configuration, either on a full-time or a part-time basis.

We have between 10 and 20 bots running at this point and we are adding more.

How are customer service and technical support?

The support team has a dedicated relationship manager, who is attached to our organization. We have the ability to raise tickets as a partner. At the same time, I can't say that support is great but we can manage.

It is no different than support with other vendors, such as IBM, where it depends on how high you escalate the ticket. At a very high level, they respond, then after a few months, they slow down again and take their own time. It is part of the cycle.

How was the initial setup?

There are not many challenges when setting up this solution, and there is a good amount of documentation to go with it.

What about the implementation team?

We had assistance from the consultants for our deployment.

What other advice do I have?

I would rate this solution a seven out of ten.
