What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? The standard diversion of Project Online or Microsoft Project, is that it automatically has so many built in features that you really do not need to invest much in terms of trying to configure it to suit your requirements. It has all the… more»
What other advice do I have? The only drawbacks are the customization. Generally what happens is everybody wants it to be an automation tool, and this is not the use case for this solution. It is a platform for project management. You don't want an automation to be in… more»
Which other solutions did I evaluate? There are some serious competitors in this sector. For instance, there is Clarity from CA, Planview and HP PPM. These are some of the other competitors that you have on the market. I think the Microsoft products are very user friendly, the… more»

What needs improvement?I would like to see more documentation pieces. Right now, they do have the content repository. I would like to see more out-of-the-box features with document repository capabilities.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? We have portfolio managers, resource managers, project managers, and time reporting licenses. These are the licenses that we have.
What other advice do I have? The tool has transformed. I have seen it grow. I have more than 12 years of experience working in Planview and have seen the tool from the start. I've seen all the versions, and it's grown to a more… more»
Which other solutions did I evaluate? We did on a comparison of different tools, such as, Planview and some other tools available. We did our evaluation of those tools and came up with Planview as the tool that we want to use. Initially… more»

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? We use JIRA, but we have had some challenges with using that. That's why we had to implement Planview PPM Pro. I have a background in implementing PPM solutions and… more»

Review of ServiceNow
Oct 23 2019
What is most valuable? It's a good solution for portfolio management and to manage all the projects that you have with the client. It's easy to manage all the resources in projects as well as all the costs involved. The interface is user-friendly. It's one of the… more»
What needs improvement? The cost could be improved. The solution is quite pricey. The solution should have the capacity to integrate with the latest promotion of MES projects. Right now it's not working so well.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?Compared to CA, ServiceNow is more expensive. When you pay for your licensing, you must also pay for an SLA.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? We looked at CA technologies, which were acquired by Broadcom, specifically CAPPM. Gardner had recorded that CAPPM was the leader in the market, but at the moment ServiceNow is more complete and more user-friendly.
What other advice do I have?We use the hybrid cloud deployment model. We're integrators for the solution. I'd rate the solution nine out of ten.

My primary use case for this solution is for resourcing capacity managements. When embedding Jira Portfolio in a complete HLI cycle, I'm missing things to evaluate my ethic into my value stream.
