What do you think of Ceridian Dayforce HCM?
What is our primary use case?We use it for payroll and HR. We also use it for the mobile app. User experience is great for managers, employees, and the admin.
How has it helped my organization?It is very user-friendly. It provides real-time information with great reports. We have been able to automate many of our manual processes.
What is most valuable?Reporting I can pull anything out of Dayforce. It has made my job so much easier. This is its best feature.
What needs improvement?I would like to see more built-in forms, like government issued forms (T2200). This would save a lot of time during the year-end process.
For how long have I used the solution?Three to five years.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?Previously, we used a web-based solution which only HR and payroll employees had access to for HR/payroll use. We also used a recruiting program.
What other advice do I have?Ceridian continually enhances Dayforce HCM. Some of these enhancements they charge for and some are just straight enhancements with no extra charge.

What is most valuable?The integrated time clock has provided efficiencies in payroll, as we no longer have to decipher handwritten time sheets and input them into the system. Statutory holiday pay is also calculated automatically.
How has it helped my organization?It has created efficiencies in HR and Payroll by eliminating double entry into two systems, implementing a time clock feature for hourly employees, and by having a downloadable general ledger (G/L) constructing journal entering for payroll.
What needs improvement?It would be nice if retro pay calculations were made automatically for salaried payroll, so a calculation and manual entry do not have to be done.
