The solution is deployed on an on-premises model.
The solution can be deployed within two hours.
During the deployment process of Check Point Harmony Endpoint, my company needs to install the initial client and select an agent from the settings on Windows Server, after which we need to push the solution to the client. Installing the initial client isn't something that is very easy. With all the features like signature-based detection, threat emulations, and sandboxing, users may need to be involved in the creation of a signature group.
It is a cloud-based solution. The initial setup is quite easy.

You can set up the policies very easily. You just post and restart your devices and everything is secure. Items can be managed under group policies. You can set up your own rules and policies easily.

When we were working with their team, it was easy to go ahead with the setup. However, once we started doing it for our users on our own, we found it to be a little complex and needed more help. So, we came back to the SandBlast support team for help.
When we had to do a second deployment, including the next 10 members from the team of 15, we found that the documentation for the initial setup wasn't thorough. Our team had to reach out to the customer support, and they were good. However, from a deployment point of view, a little more documentation would have been helpful.
The deployment took approximately three months.
Our deployment strategy was that we wanted to be digital and do things on the cloud.

The deployment takes one or two weeks. The deployer always creates a tenant, through which they install the solution. They also trained customers and end users to install Harmony, and they managed to install the entire license.

View full review »The product's initial setup phase was straightforward. The product's deployment was done in minutes, so it didn't take long, as there was no need to do any special configurations. There was no need for the people involved in the deployment to have any special skills. The deployment process was seamless and straightforward. The product's deployment was never an issue. The IT department need not worry too much about whether they need to learn new skills to manage the product as it is easy to use and deploy and a product that can be used seamlessly. The product's deployment takes around 30 to 40 minutes.
I work with the solution's SaaS version.

If you have an active directory on the network, you can install it with push installation. That said, we don't have it, so we needed to install the client by accessing the client directly.

I rate the product's initial setup phase a seven out of ten on a scale of one to ten. Compared to Check Point Harmony Endpoint, the deployment process of CrowdStrike was much easier.
Compared to Check Point Harmony Endpoint, the deployment process of CrowdStrike was much easier as it could be deployed in hundreds of locations in two hours. Check Point Harmony Endpoint's deployment process takes a week to be completed. Check Point Harmony Endpoint's deployment process takes time since there are many troubles, as my company has to meet with the client to conduct certain checks, owing to which it cannot be deployed through a central management process.
The number of people required to take care of Check Point Harmony Endpoint's deployment process depends on the organization's size. One good engineer is enough to take care of the product's deployment process. Having ten engineers without knowing the product or issue cannot help a user deal with the tool's deployment area, and it is usually the same for each product deployed in any company.
As mentioned before, the configuration of this tool is very simple and interactive.
View full review »The initial setup is straightforward. You simply need to deploy the agents onto mobile devices. The enrollment process would happen on the device.
It's very flexible in that it can be a hybrid. It supports on-premises and cloud devices.
In terms of the size of the team a company would need to deploy and maintain the solution, it all depends on the timelines that you have. A single guy, if everything is being managed, a single guy can deploy at least 50 to 100 Harmony Endpoint agents in a day. And if things are not going well, it may require more people.

The initial setup was complex. From an IT department perspective, we don't have that many IT technicians, so, for us, it was complex. If we had put an IT engineer on Check Point, it might have been easier.
Implementation took about two days. The strategy was to do the implementation outside of office hours, so it was actually done over a weekend.
We are outsourcing the maintenance, which is about 4 hours of work a month.

A single administrator can manage the complete solution. It's easy to deploy and does not require any additional effort. We're able to have multiple solutions within a single solution.
View full review »The initial setup was complex, with a rating of three out of ten in terms of difficulty. Implementing the entire solution, covering everything from networking to setting up Office 365, proved to be intricate and challenging.
I would rate it a six out of ten because it could have been easier. It might be somewhat challenging due to the numerous policies in place. For instance, it's more straightforward for me when users can easily set up policies because they come built-in. However, with Check Point, you do have the option to create custom policies. I'm not entirely certain if it's a strict either/or situation, as there might be some flexibility. Nonetheless, having a predefined "zero one" option can make it easier for users, as they don't necessarily have to customize policies themselves.
The deployment takes long enough.

It's relatively easy to set up. There's plenty of documentation out there for how you do it. The way we've done it is probably the easiest way of doing it. We're not going all-out. We've gone with a small approach, mainly due to commercial reasons.
Our implementation strategy is just to switch it on in our new firewalls and see what happens, honestly. That's not always the best approach, but we switch it on in learning mode to give us information on what's out there and to see what we didn't know.
It took us about three weeks with the first two firewalls, and that doesn't include the firewall build time. That's just setting up everything else and the integration piece. There were two of us involved, me and a colleague. There were "dotted lines" into others, such as our IT risk team where we were asking, "Hey, is this what you want to see?" We're not really offering it as a full service, it's a PoC. If it goes live with a view to deploy it to all of our firewalls and all of our endpoints, I wouldn't say we would need any more people. It would be part of our operational team. The same is true for the risk team. I don't think we would need to get more people, although we see the IT risk team having more of an input.
View full review »We use both the cloud and on-premise solutions. The initial setup is simple and creating a profile with the agents is easy. We only create agents and direct them to versions of the agents while we integrate them with the process. It only takes about five minutes to deploy one mission.

The initial setup is a little complected in the beginning. I would say that it is of medium difficulty, and not as easy as Symantec.
Our deployment took between seven and ten days because we were transitioning from Symantec to Check Point. We did it slowly, starting in groups of about twenty people at a time. Once we saw that things were working okay, we did the full deployment.

After signing up with Check Point, the migration of users took about a month and a half.
We had to build out the Management Station in Check Point too and that took from probably January to almost July as we had to build it from scratch. They didn't have a migration tool for our current policy, as it enforces firewall policy on the endpoints locally on the local firewall and that wasn't ideal. We had to build that whole Management Station from scratch.
I had to go back and forth between the on-premise Management Station and the Cloud Management Station and literally look at every single feature, every single function, every single rule. I had to recreate every single object. I had to recreate every single everything. That took a very long time.
It was very manual. It's literally two screens and comparing items. That took a couple of months while doing other things, of course. However, that was my priority for about a month and a half. I worked on that a lot. I wish they had a migration tool, like a migrate export for the policy and the features. Once that was created, however, everything pretty much worked. That said, there were a couple of caveats.

The initial setup was easier than anything. It took 20 minutes. I was actually on a holiday and I liked it. I set it up and deployed it all from a mobile phone on a beach. It's that easy.
I didn't need any outside help, apart from the people I bought it from, who actually requested the portal and I got an email address and a password. I got a username or password through my email address and then I had to do everything else myself and it was so easy. It's ridiculous.

We have had some problems with connection management because if we install the initial client on the computer, we cannot stop or delete this client or install the full package afterward.
If we have a new signature technical support ticket, they add this signature to the database in three to five days which they could improve.
I rate the initial setup from Check Point Harmony Endpoint a four out of five.

The initial setup is very easy. The management is on the cloud, and therefore, you practically don't have to do any installation. You only log in and then you begin to use it and you begin to deploy on your network, the endpoints. The time it takes to deploy depends on the size of endpoints you have. With a small network, such as 100 endpoints, you can do it in one day or a couple of hours.
