AnyConnect is extremely useful because we are working from home and need to connect to various systems within the organization. This wouldn't be possible without a VPN. For example, Outlook, Teams, and some of the enterprise ERPs are only accessible through our office network. AnyConnect solves this issue by connecting to the office network through a proxy. We have about 500 to 600 employees working from home.

I use the solution in my company for our clients so that they can connect to their data center or SharePoint devices. Whatever servers are put into the DMZ cannot be directly accessed in our company's environment by anyone, so we need to give such people a readily available account, which should be on the VPN, following which the certificate should be generated, and then they can then log in to our environment.

We need Client software installed on our laptop. The Client has to be configured with the VPN server IP address. When it connects, it will provide a private IP address. It will ask for the location, and credentials will be checked on the server if the server is created with the Active Directory. It will check if you are authorized. If you are, you will be authenticated, and you will get connected to the VPN.

We are using Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client when we are connecting to our internal network. Additionally, we are using it when we are connecting to our customers' networks when we have to do any operation remotely. I am using it almost on a daily basis.

When we have different networks internally and different connectivities that we have to go through, such as a gateway, I can change my gateway if a gateway fails. It automatically finds a suitable one, and if there's a new system that has to be behind a different gateway, I can edit, and I can authorize it. Not everybody can see it, only whoever is approved can. It's a very good solution. It is providing the same authentication and similar facilities on my mobile application. I have an iPhone and some of my colleagues have Android, and it works on them.

The best thing I like about Cisco AnyConnect is that it is super easy to connect to any private network with just one click. During the pandemic, most of our deployments were in organizations operating remotely. Using private VPNs means that only authenticated users can access internal company websites and applications.

In our organization, it is used to connect to the servers in a secure way. Also, our remote users can access their computers in the office using the VPN Site-to-Client, where it allows you to encrypt and protect your data towards electronic computers when Internet connections are used outside of the corporate network.
