It's highly stable. We rarely see any bugs or abnormalities in our Cisco routers, especially for the ISR series. We have used the ASR 1000, and that was highly stable.

Cisco is awesome. Honestly. It's a trusted brand. If you want to set up your network and you have a good night's sleep, you buy Cisco. You know that you set up and go to sleep. That's how awesome it is.

I'm biased since I am Cisco certified. I enjoy working with them since it's easy to use them.

There are moments when the configuration gets to be a bit complex, and then you need to look for an expert that helps you troubleshoot or maybe set up things where you might not have the proper knowledge.

The resilience is great. The equipment is so stable. It will not freeze. When you set up Cisco, you can forget you have a router. Everything just works. Only maybe once in a year, you might think of rebooting it. However, that thing works no matter what.

Cisco has many features, however, we configure only OSPF and other QoS functions. There are three functions like that, but the routing protocol is OSPF through IP VPNs.

Cisco launched the 8000 series routers, including the SD-WAN features and Viptela, plus the cloud connectivity. They continuously improve and add so many features to the new IOS, mainly in the cloud, the microservice's architecture and  Kubernetes.

I feel free with Cisco's operation system (IOS), and specifically, it's CLI. The power of Cisco is it's software and OS, not just their hardware. Their end product is very stable, straightforward, and scalable. However, it takes time and energy for a beginner to be able to administer the CLI.

The solution is very stable. I have not seen any downtime due to the product freezing or anything like that. It performs well and hasn't required reboots unless it's to troubleshoot with a support service provider needing configuration. It doesn't overheat and it's on 24/7.

In itself, Cisco is a reliable product and does not require any major changes. We have utilized Cisco for around 15 years, and in that time, there has hardly been any incident to my knowledge that a router suddenly became faulty, or started to malfunction. It's a sound solution, so it's very easy to solve problems without a support contract, as mainly the problems we have related to the equipment can be solved by doing a Google search. Because it's a very well known solution, there are books on problems. It's a solution that fits us, as we probably can't afford a very expensive contract.

Cisco is probably leading the market with its excellent range of enterprise routers, for those who are probably confused when choosing an appropriate one for an enterprise network. Routers with excellent speed (40 GBPS, 720 GBPS) and with features like IPSEC, Firewall, VPN etc., Cisco enterprise routers are available with various price and features, should one find it suitable for use. WiFi features are also available with these routers. Cisco Linksys routers are affordable for small enterprise networks and worth purchasing. All of these routers can be utilized with cloud. Most of these routers have a built in USB 2.0 port for printer connectivity and for shared storage. These routers also have additional security features like 802.1.
