I did not deploy ISE. We had a partner who helped us deploy it.

We utilized an internal consultant for the implementation who possessed extensive experience in Cisco technology. Our overall experience was positive.

We have a contractor who implements the product for us. After that, they give it to me to manage. Upgrading from version 2.7 to 3.1 is easy. So far, it's good. The contractor's name is Deytek. I just provided the ACS server information from the previous server to the contractors. Then, we purchased the on-premises hardware, migrated it, and started using it. I didn’t have to do anything. It was easy for me.

The upgrade from version 2.7 to 3.1 was a little bit hard, and I had to prepare a lot to do it. We need to plan the process well. We cannot just decide to upgrade the tool without planning. We had to plan with the help of AS services, who guided us on the steps to do and the backup needed. They guided us to upgrade the secondary unit first and then the primary. I also had to talk to our corporate team in Boston. We had to inform our ISA Server team about the upgrade because once you upgrade, tools that are not authenticated might lose connection.

Implementation was achieved with in-house resources and premium onboarding support. The entire process only took an hour.

I deployed it myself.

We received help setting it up from our reseller, who was Accudata, but they were recently purchased by Converge Technology Solutions. We've got a great relationship with them; they've always got great resources and great account teams.

Deployment takes a skilled technician. The customer's help is always needed since we need to integrate Active Directory. 

We implemented Cisco ISE in our organization directly through Cisco. My experience with Cisco has been phenomenal because they listen. We've run into many technical issues, but they've been at our beck and call and have been there to support us to a point where they've rushed certain fixes. We've had a couple of engineering specialits because of things we've encountered. They worked hard for us.

We had assistance from a consultant for the deployment.

Internally, we have a team of five administrators who manage this product.

Cisco ISE's deployment can take weeks, months, or years depending on how rigidly you adhere to the guidelines and how good your existing infrastructure is.

We have an operations partner that we deal with pretty often. It's an Austrian company, NTS. They work with Cisco a lot on our solutions and, obviously, we're evaluating it with them and then making choices based off of that. I'm the onsite hands. I do a lot of the configuration on the switches, but they're doing a lot of the advising.

We used an integrator, ITS Infocom. Experience-wise, it was very good. On our side, we had three people involved. 

A contractor came to help us deploy everything as part of the bank's data center solution. Since then, I have installed one of the components that we deployed at the time. It was a local tech company that got the platform given to them. That's how they got everything implemented with it together.

We utilized the services of Open Network for assistance with the implementation. Their services were excellent, and we would gladly engage their services again.

The deployment definitely took weeks.

We did it all in-house, but we did have consultants from Cisco come in and help us tweak it.

Initially, we took the help of Presidio. They were good. They knew a lot about it and helped us a lot. 

We did use a consultant from Presidio for our first deployment project. Since then, we have been doing deployments ourselves.

Two people were needed for the deployment: the consultant and myself.

We used MTT. They were great. They walked us through the whole process. They designed the network refresh for us as well as the Cisco ISE integration portion of it.

We are a reseller. My professional services implemented it, which includes a tech lead, engineer, senior engineer, and project manager to work with the solution.

We used a consultant. The deployment required two people on our side. I was in charge of the initial rollout and implementation, and I'm in charge of managing it. However, if I'm not there, we have another network guy who does the day-to-day tasks and checks the logs to see if he needs to approve anything.

Afterward, Cisco will also come in to do a "health check" to make sure the setup is correct and they can direct users to features they should use or are not using.

The person who was put in place to implement it couldn't. So we got another vendor who was good and was a lot more experienced. It's a very new feature so we're hopeful here in Uganda. My country only has about maybe 2 or 3 clients. Those are the ones I know about, our team being one of them.
