Cisco NGIPS is not secured, and we did not use it in our company for VPN-related purposes. Cisco NGIPS is just to protect data. We use Cisco ASA, which has reached its end-of-sale cycle, and install Cisco NGIPS simply in our environment, which emulates features similar to Cisco ASA.

Earlier in July 2019, I noted that there was an attack. To mitigate future attacks from the ransomware in Columbia Bank and other similar situations, we at Cisco Talent, which is responsible for security intelligence, provided updated security rules. We offered intrusion policies and codes through signatures to help overcome such situations.

I would consider this to be a medium product in its field across the board.

We used to have different solutions integrated together between Cisco and non-Cisco, or Cisco and a third party. We now have an all-in-one which is kind of nice. 

I think the Cisco Firepower is the best firewall in the world and the other security features like AMP, IPS, and deep inspection packets.

The traffic filter feature of this solution has improved our organization. It not only provides ransomware protection, but saves us time in dealing with unnecessary traffic.

We get a bit of visibility into network threats and we can successfully mitigate those threats by using the product.

Cisco NGIPS dropped network Troyans and web application attac almost every day. That helps up to feel more secure.

It has increased our security posture and has contributed substantially to our security maturity by stopping threats.
