Cisco NGIPS Implementation Team
We implement the solution in-house. Deployment time depends on the environment itself. You also have to consider migrations and preparing the environment. In the learning phase, you determine any impact on protection or policy and adapt accordingly.
A large network will take longer to implement than a small one. Integrations can take some hours to many days, can take minutes to a month.

You have to do your own implementation of the Cisco NGIPS hardware, but for the configuration, Cisco support can be involved from day one. That's what I have experienced. There was some exception but I have involved the Cisco support team from day one when I started configuring my firewall.

IT Manager at a financial services firm with 51-200 employees
We used an in-house team to do the deployment and it takes roughly a day and a half depending on the size of your organization and the configuration. Setting up the rules, all the features, and the licensing takes time.
To do the maintenance you need somebody familiar with Cisco and networking technologies.

Assistant Director (IT) at a financial services firm with 1,001-5,000 employees
A Cisco vendor in Nepal helped us configure the product properly. We didn't have a strategy. The vendors supported us from the very beginning. After working with them, we had no problem using the product.
It took almost a month and a half to install the system.

I do the implementation myself but in certain situations, because we have a risk assessment, it's a sort of risk transfer, so we have a contract with a certain integrator. We do have a contract, but I personally do the setup.

We implemented the solution by ourselves. Last time, we worked with a company that deployed for us, but it turned out not to be necessary. We realized we can deploy by ourselves, and attend the training and support by ourselves.

In our company process some team, we have three or four people and the solution can be easily maintained because it is managed in one place in the Firepower management center. In one company we have approximately 24 Firepower models and these devices are controlled by one system, the Firepower management system (FMC). It's very easy to control and maintain the solution.
