As a large organization, it is difficult to individually monitor every device. Instead, we use Cisco Prime to keep an eye on the network and services.

We do not use it as a node tool, as we have other tools for network operation centers.

When services go down, it can cause issues, we rely on Cisco Prime to monitor and notify us of any service disruptions.

We mainly use Cisco Prime Infrastructure for configuration-level tasks.

We also use Cisco Prime Infrastructure to back up all our Cisco devices including routers, switches, wireless devices, and controllers.

If an AP or any wireless device goes into critical mode, Cisco Prime sends an alert. That is the most helpful feature. 

The solution provides data that allows us to time travel through logs and perform remote operations or troubleshooting. This is very handy functionality for network engineers because it helps us to understand what or how things happened. 

The reporting feature is impressive and surpasses what is available in DNAC. Custom reports and combinations can be generated and provided to stakeholders. 

The solution's configuration management tool is amazing because it centralizes and pushes configurations which saves a lot of volume and effort. 

Cisco Prime is user-friendly, so we are comfortable using it. In addition, we find the ability to monitor inventory and export reports from running networks valuable.

Cisco Prime is a one-stop place to log in and manage our entire wireless infrastructure. We don't need to log in to individual devices to perform configuration changes, allowing us to pull critical historical reports for the customer. It is an excellent platform if the devices need to be upgraded or downgraded. It helps to maintain a database where we can manage the licenses of all the devices.

Cisco Prime allows us to manage all the wireless controllers and access points.

The tool's performance is fine. 

Operationally, Prime is quite easy to use and I like the wireless heatmap and search management features. 

The most valuable feature of Cisco Prime is the heat map.

The technical support team is very good.

What I found most beneficial from Cisco Prime is that it gives you an insight into what your network does, even when you're not actively monitoring what's going on with your network.

I like the monitoring of access points. We can see the heat map in locations within the building. In case of trouble, if my client has trouble in some specific area, we can look to specific areas on the map, which areas are impacted.

The installation is easy.

The VLAN mapping function has been most impactful in simplifying our network management tasks.

Cisco Prime, from a management perspective, has good reporting.

For our use cases, where we have reachability issues, we can fine-tune and bump up the coverage by increasing the signal strength. The insights that it provides are great.

It has proven to be quite stable. 

Migrating from on-prem to the cloud is seamless.

The solution offers excellent documentation. 

I'm required to produce a rogue report once a quarter and also to provide a summary. The map overview of our campus environment shows the distribution of RF frequency channels and the distribution of a client. It provides us with a great idea of where the busier areas are within our environment to allow us to tweak and tune. The reporting is also a great feature because everyone sees which APs and which clients are the busiest, as well as the busiest applications. This solution enables us to do that.

Cisco Prime is a good tool for inventory monitoring and wireless management.

This reliability and consistency are advantageous in complex network environments where different vendors' products may present interoperability challenges.

Cisco Prime has been around for a long time, and it keeps getting better and better. The solution is the best platform for managing and monitoring switches and routers, even if we have thousands of them. Cisco Prime or DNAC are great options if we're not familiar with automation or scripting languages like Python or Terraform because we can configure devices and push the settings through without needing to know anything about automation or scripting. Managing and monitoring our network is made easy with Cisco Prime, but it is only available for Cisco-based environments.

The most valuable feature of Cisco Prime is its excellent audio and video conferencing with clear quality and no interruptions.

Cisco Prime allows us to do a lot of functions with the users and it is flexible.

Cisco Prime is helpful as it provides us with real-time monitoring. This allows us to be proactive in our environment.

Cisco Prime is very good management-wise. It gives you the ability to upgrade switches remotely, schedule the upgrade time, perform backups, and monitor the health of all networks.

The wireless heatmap is very good.

The interfaces are a valuable feature and the product is easy to deploy. We receive a lot of good support from Cisco.
