It's a cloud service. Beyond the actual tool working, the most important thing is its availability.

As long as the internet connectivity is up, I've never had a problem with Umbrella not being there. It's a tool that we have never been concerned will go down while our internet connectivity is up.

Security always has to be there. As long as your security tools are available, that's when you can be the most secure. With Umbrella, especially, we have never had an issue where it was out and we needed protection. It's probably one of the most resilient tools available on the planet. For sure, it's amazing.

Stability-wise, I rate the solution a nine out of ten. I only saw an impact once on its stability, and that was when I was working five years ago in the support in Johnson & Johnson environment, and Johnson uses SIP security for everything. So, one of the things was that in the bank that uses it, it was miscategorized in Cisco Umbrella. After I did investigations, I found that the problem was not in Cisco Umbrella. The problem was with the bank because they needed to split the data centers in Umbrella, and Umbrella could not recognize the object.

I haven't needed to reboot the servers for years due to their excellent stability.

Cisco Umbrella has good stability.

Cisco Umbrella is stable. We have had some issues, for example, when deploying from home or from slow networks, but 99% might be covered by a backup deployment of the client.

Cisco Umbrella has generally been a stable solution for us, although we have encountered some issues with the new connectors. Currently, we are experiencing some minor problems with disconnections or other issues, but these occurrences have been infrequent.

The solution is extremely stable. 

Maintaining network connectivity is very easy. We have not had any downtime in over 10 years. Cisco Umbrella doesn't work directly through the network. It works with the DNS servers that are outside of the network. The network itself doesn't affect it at all. Cisco Umbrella doesn't affect the internal workings, hardware, software, switches, or routers. As long as we have set up the DNS correctly in the computers, either locally or through Active Directory, everything works no matter what happens with our network.

We've never really seen any service outages or downtime with Cisco Umbrella. It is amazing for a product to be running such a long marathon for the amount of time that I have witnessed it.

When it comes to the stability or performance of Umbrella, we have been very pleased. When you add security on top of unsecured transport, you may have certain delays, but our technical colleagues consider them to be not too bad. Stability has never come up in a customer context as an issue.

Cisco Umbrella's stability and availability have been 100% uptime since inception. This stat has never gone down.

It's been extremely stable. In the last four years, I do not recall a single outage. There has been nothing that I can think of that actually affected the performance of the system at all in the last four years.

In terms of availability, we've seen it down a couple of times. It has become very stable recently, but we've seen it down. Maybe that's one area that they can improve on. It was not for a long time, but it caused a little panic among our users.

We have no issues at the moment. It has been two years, and we did not have any issues. So, for us, it's quite good.

The stability of Cisco Umbrella is very good.

It is very stable. I never had any issue with it.

It was always up. We never had any problems. It was always there.

Stability-wise, Cisco Umbrella is pretty robust. The uptime statistics are very high. There are, generally, no issues with stability.

Umbrella's availability is second to none. I remember attending Cisco Live in Barcelona where I went to one of the sessions, and they said that they've had a hundred percent uptime since forever basically, so I don't think they ever had an outage. They've got two DNS servers. They use Anycast, so it's available around the world. It will speed up your web browsing because you'll go to the closest data center. Umbrella pairs with the service providers, so it'll speed up your general web traffic as well.

I haven't had any issues when using it.

[In terms of maintaining network connectivity] obviously it depends on the situation. With Umbrella, it's a bit easier, for sure. There are times where Umbrella, on their side, is having an issue and we're notified of that issue. But in that case, there isn't really much on our side that we can do. To that extent though, the pros outweigh the cons. It's pretty rare that Umbrella is having a problem. The way that our network is set up is that we can reroute traffic pretty quickly using our other Cisco devices, so it's not usually a big issue for us. We have fewer problems with Umbrella than we do with our physical WSA proxies that we currently use, because that is something that we would have to troubleshoot on our end, and we're not always there on site to be able to do that. Then we have to go through someone else who's over there and they have to console us in and we have to troubleshoot whatever's going on over there.

With Umbrella, it's nice to have them tell us what's going on so that we're aware of the situation. If there are any problems, then we'd know what the issue was and how we could work around it. That makes it a bit simpler for us.

Network connectivity isn't really a huge issue for us with Umbrella, specifically. Our use case mainly is just for blocking internet traffic, making groups. We have social media groups where we allow certain computers in places to have access to certain social media sites that we wouldn't normally do. We have other sites being blocked, depending on their use case. That's mainly our function with Umbrella. Internet connectivity is usually not a huge issue regarding Umbrella with us, but if it ever is, it's nice that they communicate the issue to us, [so] that we can work around it.

I have never experienced a stability issue where the site went down. 

Cisco Umbrella is stable. 

Stability has been great. Obviously, there have been some hiccups here and there on the connectivity side. That is out of our control, but it is understandable, as things are in the cloud. I have had more issues with Amazon than I have had issues with Umbrella, where I have had a very good experience.

The stability is really good. They have about 99.99 percent uptime. I can't think of a significant disruption in the service.

I have never heard of an outage in the service. The stability is good. The performance and accessibility are very good. The service is always operational because it runs on multiple servers and multiple load balancers.

I rate Cisco Umbrella's stability a nine out of ten. 

The stability is very great. Once it's deployed and you do your due diligence to make sure that everything is communicating and in sync, we've hardly had to touch it.

It's quite stable. I've gotten very positive feedback from the customers who have deployed it within their environment. The feedback has been amazing. It's up and running 99.9 percent of the time, since it's a cloud-based solution. We have had no problems related to bugs or any issues like that.

The stability is good, and we have had very few problems with the equipment. The problems that we've had have been with our carriers. I can, pretty much, put a solution in place and not even worry about it.

It's quite stable. It's a very stable product, and, it's quite straightforward. We deployed this solution a year ago with no issues afterward. We didn't get any complaints. There are some categories, and filtering that will block you for something which is not malicious, but it is considered as a threat to Cisco Umbrella. You will need to white list some IP address or some URLs manually if it's under your corporate use for some reason.

For stability, I will give it 30%

In terms of the stability, if you're talking about DNS Security, it is very stable. They recently launched Cloud DLP,  so I can't comment on that. We are now working with it, but I do not have too much experience. DNS security is a stable product. There is no issue with that.

Ever since we started using this product last year, it has been stable. If any service is down, we can see on the dashboard whether all of the resources are online or not. If something is down because we are working on it for some reason, something could happen then. But in two years, I did not find any issues due to the product becoming unstable on its own.
