What is most valuable?

It is a breeze to setup and administer. Being hardware agnostic gave us the flexibility our customers needed. It also provided us with the option to offer Hosted PBX functionality.

What needs improvement?

I have a few things on my wish list however you have to keep in mind they are all advanced features. The biggest one is the Hosted version. The current solution requires different ports for each instance and is not allowing for SIP trunk sharing between them. This is an area of the PBX that is very important to us who use it to provide hosted VoIP. Another area... more»

What do you think of Lync Server?

Disclaimer: the new version of Lync Server 2013, Skype for Business (SfB) Server 2015, has been released a few weeks ago. Licensing model is the same you had for Lync Server, with companies paying only Front End servers (i.e. the ones hosting user accounts and the core services for your infrastructure).  SfB contains some new features, including support for Back End availability based on AlwaysOn groups. I will write a dedicated post asap.      The costs related to Microsoft Lync are something that I have talked about more than once but this is the first time I try to summarize information in a single document. I will limit my reflections to on-premises organizations, because as I am writing, Lync Online has no serious support for Enterprise Voice (i.e. VOIP) and this...

What is most valuable?

The ease in which it operates. I have been able to get complete computer novices in different time zones to download and install the program with ease so that I could troubleshoot their computer issues.

How has it helped my organization?

Before TeamViewer, our remote personnel had to rely on taped video training, but now they get one-on-one training as I walk them through things on their computers.

What needs improvement?

Only the paid version allows for file transfer. Also, it is annoying that I have to upgrade every time they release a new version because I can't use an older version to access a new one even if my version is paid and their version is a trial.

What do you think of ReadyTalk?

Valuable Features: Nothing beats how easy it is to collaborate with other co-presenters. • Improvements to My Organization: We rely on webinars to generate leads for our business, so having a reliable solution was key for us. It is much easier for us to partner with other businesses now. • Room for Improvement: One great feature they can add is the ability to use animations within your slides. • Use of Solution: 7 months • Deployment Issues: No • Stability Issues: No • Scalability Issues: No • Previous Solutions: Yes, we used GoToWebinar. The product was very unreliable for us and the quality of the sound was off. • Implementation Team: In-House

What is most valuable?

The following features of this product are the most valuable to me: * Persistent access * Remote access * Ease of end-user installation session

How has it helped my organization?

We use it for help desk and server monitoring.

What needs improvement?

I would like to see a full-blown fat client/desktop application. LogMeIn has a desktop client which makes it much more convenient to access my computer list and create ad-hoc sessions rather than navigate to a web page and login. I would like... more»
