I give the solution an eight out of ten. I don't think there is anything wrong with Citrix ShareFile. I believe it is a perfectly good solution. There are numerous notification options that we can set up within the solution, such as notifications when the recipient downloads the file, runs the file and sends it back.

We want to check with the external people we work with for the organization so our clients have better expertise to ensure that they do not block the service. One of the biggest issues, especially when working with financial institutions, is that they often block many file-sharing services. Therefore, we need to make sure that Citrix ShareFile is not one of them. We chose to use Citrix ShareFile because, for example, one of our financial clients did not block ShareFile, but it blocked almost everything else. Before we make a purchase, we must ensure that the solution we originally intended to use is not blocked by the client.

You have ShareFile in two forms. ShareFile actually has three components. One is the user, another is the control plane, and another is the storage zone controller. The control plane is managed by Citrix itself, which is on the Citrix cloud. The one in which you have the storage zone controller is either on-premise or on the cloud. It can be a public cloud or a private cloud. We have the current enrollment that’s on-premise storage zone control, which is managed by us. With my previous experience, I've worked on Azure as a public cloud for Citrix. I've worked on all three kinds of sectors of the storage zone controller.

It's a go-to solution. If you have to share official organizational data across the globe, it's perfect for a new user. They are in safe hands. They don't need to worry about security concerns. Plus, the data sharing will be faster for them.

I’d rate the solution ten out of ten.

We recommend ShareFile to any of our customers who are looking for file sharing capabilities because it's very compatible, flexible, easy to manage, with encryption and good security.

The solution is simple to use. I rate the solution as a nine.

There are now very few issues with anyone accessing the files they need to get access to. It is so much better than our previous FTP site. There are certainly some points for improvement but the people at ShareFile have been great.

Citrix ShareFile is now called Citrix Content Collaboration, they changed the name.

We have deployed it in our cloud mainly because products such as Dropbox are out of the country. In India, they wanted in-country for data localization. 

COVID has triggered a lot of file cloud demands, for file sharing and cloud desktops. As a result, we offer to bundle our file share services with our cloud desktop offering.

I have tried many tools in the past, all from small vendors, but they lack support with the roadmap. Citrix has an enterprise-backing company and they have a good roadmap. 

It's an enterprise-scalable product with security. There are no challenges with Citrix. 

It's a great tool and I would definitely recommend it. It is very simple to use and it has the majority of the enterprise features.
