Code42 Incydr Scalability

Chuck_Mackey - PeerSpot reviewer
Director, Cybersecurity Consulting at a tech services company with 51-200 employees

It is an enterprise system. It can be used in a medium size to large size company. It is very scalable. We took small numbers within departments, nailed that, and then moved on to different departments and nailed that. It scaled pretty easily. I don't recall anything going off the rails.

It is being used throughout every department such as IT, human resources, marketing, sales, HR, finance and accounting, legal, and operations. There are 16,000 people in the company. So, it pretty much is going to touch everybody. There are two primary locations: one in Northeast, Ohio, and one in New York, but then there are literally thousands of locations across the United States. People are working from home. They're all over the United States. We had an operation in Canada, but we didn't do anything overseas.

After starting with a relativity small deployment we were able to scale up with only minimal additional configuration required. Most was related to geographical differences from the original deployment.

None. We protect over 200 endpoints -- remote workers out of the office - with no challenges and centrally from one management console.

Again, IT Central Station requires a longer answer here, but really the answer is once again a simple "no". I've used PROe in a larger environment as well as the current small office, with zero issues.

Once we proved our case and began preparing to ramp up deployment, we made the switch over to a Code42 Managed Appliance to replace our internal VM Master Server. We were told that server performance with a VM was likely to suffer around 500+ users.

Generally speaking, no. Code42 is very easily scaled in the Enterprise. Our deployment is global and it has not been an issue to grow as needed. I think that this alos speaks a lot to Code42's commitment to quality engineering.

No issues with scalability. Customization on the back end was all we needed and they worked closely with us to accomplish what we needed. Was refreshing to have them acknowledge that what we were doing with them would benefit other customers as well.

In terms of scalability, we've got it on two or three different servers. That's all we'll use probably. We're not likely to increase usage or to scale it in the future.

We have a small deployment, but another department on campus has one that is four times our size and we both use the same tools the exact same way to accomplish our goals. Therefore, I would say it scales well.

No issues with scalability. I have changed several backups to include more and larger files. The only issue is the time to get the backup completed. Most of this is on our end because of a limited internet bandwidth connection.

Up to this point, I have not encountered any scalability issues. We are perhaps 1/12 of our storage used after seven months in play. We keep our storage on site and can add to it when required. We'll cross that road when needed. We'll need to purchase similar hardware or add larger disks when the time comes, but it could be a few years pending static growth rates.
