Comodo Advanced Endpoint Protection Other Advice

We're a distributor.

I'm using the latest update of the solution.

It's a comprehensive protection suite. If you're looking for the best protection against zero-day attacks and ransomware, this product has patented technology. You can't find that technology from the other vendors.

I'd rate the solution ten out of ten based on its capabilities.

We shared a datasheet with the customer. The customer mentioned that MDM or DLP is included in the product, but she cannot utilize these features in AP Protection, even though they are mentioned in the datasheet. This creates an issue recommending the product to the customer since she cannot use these features. Therefore, when updating your datasheet, clarifying which features apply to the customer's product use is crucial. This clarity is beneficial for both parties.

I provide the solution on-premises, but we conduct the POC on the Azure platform. Additionally, we are partners with both Microsoft and AWS. This enables us to offer the AWS and Azure platforms, whichever the customer prefers.

Overall, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.

I would rate the product a nine out of ten. The solution does not require any maintenance. You don't need additional licenses for EDR or patch management which are free. The IT support teams are also very handy for supporting remote users.

We are located in Pakistan, and Comodo Advanced Endpoint Protection is not very well known here because Trend Micro has captured the market and we have only recently started selling the solution here.

Overall, I would rate it a ten out of ten.

We've often used Comodo on many machines, combining it with Symantec. We have a malware laboratory, and we like Comodo because it holds up pretty well against the competition. We've done tests with real live malware, and Comodo/Xcitium does a pretty good job of catching things even when it doesn't know what it is. When we mutate viruses and run them, we can sneak them by other apps, but if Xcitium sees something suspicious writing to your disk, it just sandboxes it. However, it can be annoying if you're playing games on your computer 'cause Comodo doesn't know what it is. It acts like it's doing something and grabs it.

Comodo cannot handle users doing something they shouldn't be doing, like accessing or transferring files that they shouldn't be transferring. Information leakage is a gap.

We're using people level six and seven on the European foundation level for skill sets, so they know how to administer this stuff. They all have ten-plus years of experience in this particular area of security. It doesn't take them long to run anything.

Xcitium is a good choice for users considering Xcitium for their company since it can stop ransomware effectively. I rate Xcitium a ten out of ten.

I believe the engineers in our team would be the best people to talk about the stability of the solution. We usually bill our clients for support. I'm not part of the main engineering team that interacts with support. I would recommend the solution to people looking to mitigate and block ransomware. Overall, I rate the product a six and a half out of ten.

We have three companies here in our group and all three companies are using it. We have a professional business services firm that provides law, accounting, financial, and payromm services; a company that does specialized engineering and IT consulting; and we have a global company that handles enterprise ICT architecture, management, and security. All three of these companies are using the product in Sweden. They also use them in North America and Europe.

We also use a Comodo for pushing out updates/patches and to keep asset inventories of our systems and software. We're also using it for network monitoring. I'd say we use it in a more active role with Symantec because Symantec does not provide the same types of services that Comodo does regarding  network asset management.

I think it's a good product and it supplements and works well with Symantec - using both products together provides two layers of protection. You do have to manage the antiviral capability because they can have conflicts with each other (we have not had any lock-up issues as we do with other product combinations but you can get false alerts). Comodo doesn't seem to have a problem running within the Symantec environment or vice versa. We haven't really run into any issues running both of them together. In fact, it's one of the reasons why we liked this combination. We have experimented with other combinations but found the Comodo-Symantec combination most stable.

I would give it a 9 out of 10. I don't think anything's perfect, so it'd be really hard for me to give a ten - especially given the areas of improvement that I mentioned above. I give weight to the cost - Comodo licenses are a good value for what you get. It gives you a really good balanced portfolio to work with for your machines, not just on the malware protection and the firewall protection, but the virtual container, the ability to manage endpoints, the ability to manage patches. In our case, Comodo replaces several products that we used to use.

We are a customer and an end-user of the solution. We don't have a business relationship with Comodo.

We are using the latest version of the solution within our organization.

I would recommend the solution to other companies. We've been very satisfied with it overall.

I would give it a rating of seven out of ten. If they cleaned up a few technical issues and provided some better pricing, I would likely rate it higher.

I would recommend this solution to others. They should try this solution. Our license is ending soon, and we are in process of renewal. I am happy with this solution.

It is overall a complex platform because it provides a lot of functionality, so this much complexity is expected. However, its deployment and configurations have been simple for me. Any issues that I had were because I misconfigured the product. I contacted their support, and we had some sessions. I got a lot of help from the support team.

I would rate Comodo Advanced Endpoint Protection a nine out of ten.
