Quotes From Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros
"It makes work visible, so everybody knows where everything is. It uses Kanban, and that makes work visible.""We use the board and card hierarchies in terms of sprints so that we can see if we have cross-functional teams that are working on the same projects together, especially when projects have dependencies. The parent-child relationship within cards is really nice so that we can see what kind of dependencies there are when we're trying to get projects finished.""My team specifically uses our board for all of our Remedy tickets that come in. We had a card for every ticket that we get, and we're able to add the link to that specific ticket there. If I'm out of office, for example, and someone else needs to work a ticket or someone is being contacted to work on a ticket, I don't have to sign on it. Someone else can easily access that ticket because I put the link in there. It's nice. It has a lot of great functionality in there.""Using the tool seems to save time versus trying to do things in a regular manner. It is highly collaborative; everybody can see things in one place. It is a highly functional, but pretty simple tool. That is hard to find: A tool that has a lot of functions, but is also simple."

"The solution is 100% scalable. It's much more scalable than the customer's capacity for implementing it. We do plan to increase usage ourselves.""The most valuable feature is the Business Process Testing feature, BPT, because it brings in the most revenue.""The most valuable feature of the solution is taking snapshots while doing the execution of the test cases.""The product has all the features that we for application managementat a lower cost."

"The most valuable features are the customized Dashboard, Sprint Planning, and Automatic Notifications.""The most valuable feature is the Burndown Chart to see work that is outstanding.""This solution assists us with being able to quickly and easily start sprints and keep accurate track of them, including billing using a time-tracking add-on.""The most valuable feature of this solution is the source linking on the commit level to git.""Transparency of development projects, as well as approval processes for some business projects, has improved massively.""Issue linking has enabled teams to trace issues.""The most valuable features in Jira are the dashboard, reports, and boards that help us to control the advancement of the project.""The most valuable feature is that it is somewhat flexible."

Cons
"I do not know what it can do in the area of scrum. Maybe it has that functionality. I have never tried to set it up. You think of LeanKit from the perspective of Kanban. I don't know if there is a template for scrum, a scaled agile framework, or any of those scaling frameworks.""Being able to track actual time on cards or sprints, instead of using just the planned start and stop date, would also be useful. I would like to see something like JIRA has with actual sprint starts and stops.""The ability to report on customizable fields and third-party extensions needs improvement. I'd like to see more of those being able to be used. I don't know how that works for Planview, but just getting a little bit more added there would be nice.""The integration with the Enterprise One product is probably an area for improvement. It's not really broken. It's just that it is such a handy tool and a great way to visually manage things. There is a very limited hookup/integration between Enterprise One, which is the master Planview tool, and LeanKit. While they are looking at this on their roadmap, it definitely needs to happen. There is a lot of opportunity there."

More Planview LeanKit Cons »

"What I'm missing from the solution is a repository for the code. Something like Git, for example. Some sort of depository for the code that is embedded.""In the next release, I would like to have a repository for the code which is embedded. Apart from that, it has everything I need.""The pricing should be more competitive.""It is difficult to gain experience with the product because resources and documentation for learning are not available."

More AccuRev Cons »

"This solution would be improved with the inclusion of integration with SVN, and auto-sync with the build release number.""The reporting needs to be improved.""The permissions can be challenging to get right.""Backlog pruning and visualization are poor.""My main concern is the administration of projects, especially user groups, and this requires root access rights but there is no concept of layered admin rights.""The only thing that JIRA doesn't for us is release management in a way that I can create a list of versions easily.""We would like to see the integration of a lite-version of Confluence, just to manage some of the templates and documents.""It's also difficult to migrate through, things don't always tie-up. It's not easy to use."

"To try this solution, use their cloud offering to get familiar. After that, it's in my view worth the money.""I don't feel that price is an issue.""It is not too expensive. It is just comparative to other tools like Microsoft Teams.""I am not sure if the client is using a commercial version. I think it is on a per-user basis, and it is around 15 Canadian dollars for a user, but I'm not sure. It also has a free version.""As a company, we get a subsidized price, and it's lower than what's quoted on their website.""We are using the enterprise license which is nice because it ensures that we always have the latest versions of Jira software.""Its price is fine, but we would like it to be less expensive. We are paying on a yearly basis.""We are a regional research and education institute. We're using the free license provided for educational institutes."
