Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The solution loads big data efficiently and quickly.""The solution is easier to set up, configure, and use than other products.""I like the score generated on the Actimize platform for each customer transaction. Those are transactions per second, accommodating millions of transactions per second. That's the best feature of Actimize.""I like the tracking methodology. Though it was implemented on-premises, the compliance is compatible with it. It will have certain modifications with RPM and APR. It has good exposure from a compliance point of view.""The most valuable feature is automation which makes our transaction capture 40 percent easier.""It's a very good product for compliance and transaction monitoring for anti-money laundering.""The solution user-friendly interactive, informative and it is also very light.""The tool helped my clients track some fraudulent activities which couldn’t have been possible without the solution. Once the solution is deployed, the system of the client needs to be upgraded and overhauled to reflect the new system. The end users can see the benefits of it. The integration of the solution is increasing the customer base of our clients since more customers from other banks have decided to join the client bank due to the level of security."

"The capability to manage your business policy related to security when required without vendor involvement.""Risk Engine’s risk score, eFN, GeoIP, and device binding all coming together in the Policy Rules to decide when to escalate to MFA.""Our customer are seeing value from the product, as they experience cost reductions. They can stop fraud from their customers, then their customers can have a better experience from their services.""The most valuable feature is the stock tokens. That works the best for us.""Ingestion of logs and raising alert space on those logs are the most valuable features."

Cons
"This solution is unnecessarily complex.""Processes don't function when front end is down.""It has become too complex for its own good with a lot of versions. They are trying to do too much. Instead of keeping it sort of traditional and keeping the core search engine as a standalone and having analytical bolt-ons, they have decided to jam it all into the same product, which made the product overly complex and difficult to implement.""One of the problems that our clients generally talk about is the price of the product when they have to purchase the product and the licenses for it. Those are on the higher side.""The solution needs to mitigate and provide an update for one listener process that keeps failing.""Licensing costs are high compared to other products in the market.""From the front end side, the UI is definitely user-friendly. It is highly compatible as long as the reading is at the coding point of view. But it can't provide certain high coding. When a person clicks on any kind of scenario or alert, I would like to have a metadata help menu.""It would be better if it integrated with other tools. Actimize uses many databases, and everything on Actimize has been deployed to the database. On the customer side, on the front end side, if they focus more on integrating with other applications, it can make the tool better. The reporting feature and dashboards could be better. In the next release, I would like them to incorporate a Tableau-type reporting structure within this tool."

"Better filters when searching for events. The current features for current filters when searching fraud events are not very comprehensive. You can only filter by certain fields in the transaction.""Reporting modules is one of the major areas that can be improved further.""RSA Adaptive Authentication lacks a mechanism to verify the identity of a new user in the Enrollment event workflow.""The product is basically unusable. We need better ease of use; it's overly complicated.""It has taken years to implement.""I would like to see a more adaptive type of solution, something that we could use on our web pages..."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "I don't know how licensing is handled in the current organization. I know that Actimize provides an option for yearly licensing because that's what we had in my previous job."
  • "Nice Actimize Fraud & Authentication Management is an expensive product."
  • "We need a separate license for each of the packages, such as the core package, self-development package, and customization package."
  • "It is reasonable for enterprise customers."
  • "I don't like the length of our vendor contracts because it kills our flexibility."

  • "You may need to opt for second best if funding is low and the number of users is huge. However, the pricing is able to be negotiated if your user figures are huge."
  • "Keep the proxy service layer on premises. That consumes SaaS security services on the back-end."
  • "Customers need to deploy the solution in a very expensive infrastructure. RSA should should think about a less expensive infrastructure for customers because the solution costs around $100,000, and the infrastructure needed to support that solution may be even more expensive than that price."
  • "The pricing is $50 per head, yearly."

    Overview
Delivers real-time, customer-centric fraud prevention that supports a holistic, enterprise-wide fraud management program.
RSA Adaptive Authentication is a risk-based two-factor authentication solution providing cost-effective protection for an entire user base. Adaptive Authentication secures online portals, SSL VPNs, and web access management portals for different types of organizations in the healthcare, insurance, enterprise, government, financial services, and other industries. Based on the transparent two-factor authentication technology, Adaptive Authentication works behind the scenes to authenticate end users and transactions based on individual end user and device profiles. In addition, Adaptive Authentication uses the RSA Risk Engine to estimate the level of risk for the specific activity and uses information collected from the RSAeFraudNetwork (a cross-organization, cross-application, cross-border online fraud network) to identify fraudulent activities. The Policy Manager determines what actions must be performed, depending on the risk score and other parameters.
