We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The product is very easy to use and flexible.""The sorting of the data is the best feature of Airtable. In a Google sheet I have to insert some data and Airtable provides the default option of doing it automatically.""Airtable's ability to bring people from different teams and geographies together into say a master calendar, with complete control over who sees what when and in what format, is highly beneficial for communications organizations.""The product helps us track activities, address complaints, and make improvements.""I am impressed with the product's user interface and integrations. It helps me to ship products very fast.""The relations and multiple-choice options are the most valuable features. For example, if I have one client but multiple projects in the same client, it's much easier to map it with Airtable than if I use a Google Sheet. The relationship between interfaces is a key feature that I use very often.""I am impressed with the tool's continuous improvement. Every six months we get to see a completely different product. You can build a new product using no-code applications. We are able to scale up with the product.""The scripting extension enhances the things that you can do with Airtable."

"The solution is technically fine and user friendly.""It is very intuitive. Even if you do not have training documents or anything, you can start feeling your way around pretty easily.""There were probably about five or six metrics that we used. As a result, the groups that I supported were consistently ranked at the absolute top of the organization, as we were leveraging these built-in tools for tracking.""For a very long time, Broadcom Clarity had not developed the old interface that Broadcom no and we were not able to see any new features on the system because of the older UEX. We switched to the new UX at the end of March and it needs some time for the user to react to the new features. But if overall main features are being talked about, the financial part of Clarity is really appreciated.""The most useful feature for me as an implementer of Broadcom Clarity PPM is its extensibility. The tool is pretty extensible, and I haven't had any issues with it in terms of it getting used for multiple scenarios and for multiple clients where there's a need for high customization. Broadcom Clarity PPM is a very, very customizable tool, so you can pretty much implement any business process on it with no issues.""The product is flexible.""I enjoy the Risks/Issues section.I use that to raise things before they happen.""It helps all the portfolio managers and the program managers to take stock of the financial situation at the program and portfolio level, because it rolls up all the financials at the product level."

Cons
"The product is slow when I try to add data to a table using API. There is also a limit on the databases.""The tool has changed the syncing time between the tables which has affected our multiple systems. I would like the product to add more calls per second to the API. It also needs to improve data storage. The tool starts to have problems after having huge amounts of data.""The template library is huge. I have a few suggestions with respect to that. But to complete automation, I think a bit more documentation around that would be really helpful because there are a lot of features in that which common people explore them less""The interfaces provided by the company have certainly undergone significant improvements since their earlier versions. The growth and progress have been remarkable. I have personally shared numerous feedback points and observed the prompt implementation of changes within a few months, which is highly commendable. However, I must admit that I have encountered several challenges with their interfaces.""The product's AI feature needs improvement.""The product should improve the Spanish translation.""Airtable needs improvement with the loading speed. It takes a lot of time to load.""They should allow us to duplicate the data to share it with others."

"The integration needs to be improved with Jaspersoft and Microsoft Project.""Their online documentation is okay. It is not great. It is hard to get to some of the answers to the things that we may be running into, such as use cases that we are trying to fix. So, frequently we have to put in tickets.""We're looking at adding the Agile piece to it. I want to make sure that that integration is very smooth.""A little bit better financial management. Right now it is more accountant-related, the financial management - of course, it's finance, it has to be financial. But it should be a little bit easier for project managers.""We use Service Desk Manager as well. We have a custom tool to integrate the two. One of the reasons why PPM was chosen was because, "Well, it must integrate with SDM, because they're the same company." But that was not the case.""Build more capability and unification into the reporting.""There are some tool limitations. We had to create some of our own summary competencies to create more of an agile tool concept, or an agile team concept, that they did not really have.""It should be integrated with CA Service Desk Manager so that, when you have time for a ticket or when someone gets assigned a ticket, in PPM it automatically shows that they have to account for that: that they would both enter time in the past and, also, that this is going to take them time in the future."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "The tool's pricing is based on the number of users. The product's pricing is okay for personal use. For large organizations, pricing can be a pain. As per the first-rate plan, you need to pay 10 USD per user. The next plan would cost you 20 USD per user. If you are looking for enterprise-type plans, then you need to contact the sales team."
  • "The product is a little bit expensive."
  • "For basic usage, Airtable is an open-source tool but if you need premium features like script automation, then you need to pay for it. As my clients provide me access after buying the subscription I do not have much knowledge about pricing."
  • "We are utilizing the free version of the software, which adequately meets most of our requirements. As we explore the higher-end versions, we have noticed that the primary distinctions lie in the number of records and usage limitations. However, the free version offers comprehensive functionality, and the disparity between the free and paid versions is minimal, with only a few minor differences."
  • "The solution is not expensive."
  • "Airtable's pricing depends on the plan that you're on."
  • "The product would be expensive for customers with only one application or database."
  • "The product's price is good."
  • More Airtable Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "For all the functionalities of the solution, the price is in the market range, since it is a product which offers governance issues and supports the digital transformation, which is where we will go in the next year."
  • "Better understanding of requirements and how it will be implemented (with number of licenses for a given budget) would help."
  • "It is a little bit costly compared to others, but it is mature. Customer should understand this product is geared towards project management, not financial management."
  • "It is hard for them to say, "I have a person on my team who is going to be available, I am going to move that task to them". That requires a project management license, it doesn't require a team member license, so the licensing model does not sometimes support the way the business world is going."
  • "We're also moving to the latest version for less than $20,000 for a major corporate system. It's just amazing."
  • "Broadcom Clarity PPM costs us $500K, and that's only for the installation and kick off within the first year. For each succeeding year, it could cost $200K."
  • "There are different licensing models with Broadcom Clarity PPM. With the software as a service model, you pay as you go, and if you are on-premises, you can buy a perpetual license and an annual fee for maintenance."
  • "Cost-wise, the tool is very expensive and some tools might be able to cater to 80% of the functionality provided by Broadcom Clarity PPM but are not as expensive."
