We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The sorting of the data is the best feature of Airtable. In a Google sheet I have to insert some data and Airtable provides the default option of doing it automatically.""The scripting extension enhances the things that you can do with Airtable.""I am impressed with the product's user interface and integrations. It helps me to ship products very fast.""Airtable's ability to bring people from different teams and geographies together into say a master calendar, with complete control over who sees what when and in what format, is highly beneficial for communications organizations.""The product is very easy to use and flexible.""The product helps us track activities, address complaints, and make improvements.""The relations and multiple-choice options are the most valuable features. For example, if I have one client but multiple projects in the same client, it's much easier to map it with Airtable than if I use a Google Sheet. The relationship between interfaces is a key feature that I use very often.""The product helps us track activities, address complaints, and make improvements."

"The new UX is great because it has helped remove some of those barriers, so that people who are not classically trained project managers can easily get up to speed in using the tool without having to learn a whole other tool set. It's very intuitive, and very collaborative, and very easy to adapt to their existing work styles.""The most valuable feature is the portfolio functionality because we have the ability to work with different scenarios and many kinds of financial management. We can integrate with ERP, and with other solutions from third-party vendors. The financial model in Broadcom Clarity PPM, it's the most valuable aspect.""Broadcom Clarity PPM is a high-value product that helps users become productive. It's a very stable, scalable, and fast platform, even from a self management perspective.""The competency and available support are quite good, therefore we do not have any issues with support. Every time that we have a case where we need support, it is clarified right away.""Visibility to where we are on projects. It tells someone where we are; if we're in trouble or not.""Upgrades were pretty straightforward. CA took care of everything, we just did the testing.""We also have integration with CA Agile Central. So we get all the project-related data and the user stories-related data into it and we report on to that: How much funding is there, and how much are the actuals between these two tools?""With the new UI, CA is heading in the right direction, and fast. They're adding features, I would say major features, two times a year, which is fast. They're adding features, I would say major features, two times a year, which is fast."

Cons
"The interfaces provided by the company have certainly undergone significant improvements since their earlier versions. The growth and progress have been remarkable. I have personally shared numerous feedback points and observed the prompt implementation of changes within a few months, which is highly commendable. However, I must admit that I have encountered several challenges with their interfaces.""It'd be nice if the record limit of 50,000 record limit per base on pro accounts were substantially higher.""The product is slow when I try to add data to a table using API. There is also a limit on the databases.""Reporting, specifically anything involving exports, could be improved.""They should allow us to duplicate the data to share it with others.""The template library is huge. I have a few suggestions with respect to that. But to complete automation, I think a bit more documentation around that would be really helpful because there are a lot of features in that which common people explore them less""The tool has changed the syncing time between the tables which has affected our multiple systems. I would like the product to add more calls per second to the API. It also needs to improve data storage. The tool starts to have problems after having huge amounts of data.""The user interface should be more intuitive."

"The look and the feel of 14.4 is a bit antiquated.""There are some tool limitations. We had to create some of our own summary competencies to create more of an agile tool concept, or an agile team concept, that they did not really have.""In the next release, I would like to have a little bit more functionality on chatbots in Clarity PPM, especially for support requests, such as for the most commonly used support tickets that people could resolve themselves.""The classic UI is very cumbersome. It can do everything but it's hard to use. It's easy to use once you understand it, but it's intimidating at first for somebody to see the solution.""The only real improvement from my side - I'm spoiled by things like Trello, with the very easy user interface, things like Basecamp - it's very much a static software project. If I was to focus on something it would be that user interface; making that something that is a joy to use, instead of something that feels like data entry.""I would like to be able to do time submission and time approvals on mobile rather than have to go in the system.""In the community, I do not see a lot of answers. A lot of people asking lots of questions, but I am not seeing a lot of answers come through.""Reporting is not good as they keep on changing reporting environment."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "The tool's pricing is based on the number of users. The product's pricing is okay for personal use. For large organizations, pricing can be a pain. As per the first-rate plan, you need to pay 10 USD per user. The next plan would cost you 20 USD per user. If you are looking for enterprise-type plans, then you need to contact the sales team."
  • "The product is a little bit expensive."
  • "For basic usage, Airtable is an open-source tool but if you need premium features like script automation, then you need to pay for it. As my clients provide me access after buying the subscription I do not have much knowledge about pricing."
  • "We are utilizing the free version of the software, which adequately meets most of our requirements. As we explore the higher-end versions, we have noticed that the primary distinctions lie in the number of records and usage limitations. However, the free version offers comprehensive functionality, and the disparity between the free and paid versions is minimal, with only a few minor differences."
  • "The solution is not expensive."
  • "Airtable's pricing depends on the plan that you're on."
  • "The product would be expensive for customers with only one application or database."
  • "The product's price is good."
  • More Airtable Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "For all the functionalities of the solution, the price is in the market range, since it is a product which offers governance issues and supports the digital transformation, which is where we will go in the next year."
  • "Better understanding of requirements and how it will be implemented (with number of licenses for a given budget) would help."
  • "It is a little bit costly compared to others, but it is mature. Customer should understand this product is geared towards project management, not financial management."
  • "It is hard for them to say, "I have a person on my team who is going to be available, I am going to move that task to them". That requires a project management license, it doesn't require a team member license, so the licensing model does not sometimes support the way the business world is going."
  • "We're also moving to the latest version for less than $20,000 for a major corporate system. It's just amazing."
  • "Broadcom Clarity PPM costs us $500K, and that's only for the installation and kick off within the first year. For each succeeding year, it could cost $200K."
  • "There are different licensing models with Broadcom Clarity PPM. With the software as a service model, you pay as you go, and if you are on-premises, you can buy a perpetual license and an annual fee for maintenance."
  • "Cost-wise, the tool is very expensive and some tools might be able to cater to 80% of the functionality provided by Broadcom Clarity PPM but are not as expensive."
