Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The scripting extension enhances the things that you can do with Airtable.""Airtable's ability to bring people from different teams and geographies together into say a master calendar, with complete control over who sees what when and in what format, is highly beneficial for communications organizations.""I am impressed with the product's user interface and integrations. It helps me to ship products very fast.""The product helps us track activities, address complaints, and make improvements.""The product helps us track activities, address complaints, and make improvements.""The relations and multiple-choice options are the most valuable features. For example, if I have one client but multiple projects in the same client, it's much easier to map it with Airtable than if I use a Google Sheet. The relationship between interfaces is a key feature that I use very often.""I am impressed with the tool's continuous improvement. Every six months we get to see a completely different product. You can build a new product using no-code applications. We are able to scale up with the product.""Airtable stands out for its exceptional user-friendliness, making it accessible to users of all skill levels. Its intuitive navigation ensures a smooth experience, allowing users to easily explore and comprehend its functionalities. Moreover, Airtable offers powerful automation capabilities that enhance efficiency. One particularly advantageous aspect is the seamless linking of databases, enabling the effortless creation of relational databases. Overall, this feature has proven to be immensely valuable and has been the primary focus of my usage."

"To me, one of the most powerful features of Smartsheet is being able to email others.""The management aspect is the most valuable. You can also prioritize tasks and then view tasks by priorities as passports.""Smartsheet offers more than Project because it's similar to a table-based, database-type system. It's like a hybrid between Excel and project software. We were able to enter the formulas and do much of the automation. We added budgets to it and linked them to a vendor page. Smartsheet let us integrate the budget into the project seamlessly. With Project, we needed to open up Excel.""Smartsheet is easy to use.""The dashboard and the layouts are quite good.""We like Smartsheet's workflows, automation, and low-code capabilities. I don't know of any other project management tool with low-code functionality designed for project managers.""The most valuable features of Smartsheet are its collaboration tools, the ability to centralize and prioritize projects, and robust reporting capabilities.""Smartsheet is a really good tool for collaboration."

Cons
"The product should improve the Spanish translation.""The product's AI feature needs improvement.""The tool has changed the syncing time between the tables which has affected our multiple systems. I would like the product to add more calls per second to the API. It also needs to improve data storage. The tool starts to have problems after having huge amounts of data.""Airtable needs improvement with the loading speed. It takes a lot of time to load.""The template library is huge. I have a few suggestions with respect to that. But to complete automation, I think a bit more documentation around that would be really helpful because there are a lot of features in that which common people explore them less""The interfaces provided by the company have certainly undergone significant improvements since their earlier versions. The growth and progress have been remarkable. I have personally shared numerous feedback points and observed the prompt implementation of changes within a few months, which is highly commendable. However, I must admit that I have encountered several challenges with their interfaces.""It'd be nice if the record limit of 50,000 record limit per base on pro accounts were substantially higher.""Reporting, specifically anything involving exports, could be improved."

"You were forced to create a new tab rather than add another sheet.""The product must include more modules for project management.""Smartsheet could improve by having seamless integration with Azure Board.""We have to manually put in every dependency in Smartsheet.""Smartsheet needs to improve the user interface.""It would be beneficial to enhance user-friendliness and make it less complex while maintaining its overall excellence as a product.""The system can become more challenging to use in more complex scenarios, requiring additional add-ons that can be quite costly.""Smartsheet could be improved to be a ticketing system. It would be nice to have a system to do everything."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "The tool's pricing is based on the number of users. The product's pricing is okay for personal use. For large organizations, pricing can be a pain. As per the first-rate plan, you need to pay 10 USD per user. The next plan would cost you 20 USD per user. If you are looking for enterprise-type plans, then you need to contact the sales team."
  • "The product is a little bit expensive."
  • "For basic usage, Airtable is an open-source tool but if you need premium features like script automation, then you need to pay for it. As my clients provide me access after buying the subscription I do not have much knowledge about pricing."
  • "We are utilizing the free version of the software, which adequately meets most of our requirements. As we explore the higher-end versions, we have noticed that the primary distinctions lie in the number of records and usage limitations. However, the free version offers comprehensive functionality, and the disparity between the free and paid versions is minimal, with only a few minor differences."
  • "The solution is not expensive."
  • "Airtable's pricing depends on the plan that you're on."
  • "The product would be expensive for customers with only one application or database."
  • "The product's price is good."

  • "This licensing is straightforward and they charge per user."
  • "Its licensing is on a yearly basis. I was responsible for negotiating the price with the Smartsheet team, but I don't remember what the price was. Its standard license probably was around 5,000 to 6,000 a year. The enterprise version is significantly more expensive."
  • "Smartsheet only requires licenses for project managers. When we were using Asana, we had to purchase a license for everyone who wanted to access their tasks and use the system. That gets costly fast. It was one of the main reasons we left Asana. As Asana and these other tools scale, they become way more expensive."
  • "There would be more extensive usage if the solution were cheaper. It's really expensive right now, and that's why we provide a few licenses for admins. The rest of them are just users without admin privileges."
  • "I would assume there is a licensing fee. I don't think that it is free."
  • "It is less expensive than Microsoft Project for enterprise or Oracle Primavera by an order of magnitude. If you buy a Microsoft Project license, it's probably $300 or so by itself, whereas Smartsheet is probably less than $50 per head."
  • "For a normal license, like the one I had: I had my own Smartsheet because I wanted to play with it and I didn't want to mess with what I was doing in Verizon, so I paid $200 monthly, and it gave me all the same functionalities, so I could do whatever I wanted for $200. The problem is if you have anyone else working on it or deploying on it, it's $200 a month for every single person who's deployed on it, that's working on it as an owner or an administrator, so owners and administrators are the only ones who can change, edit, and add data to worksheets and columns. Depending on the size of your organization, Smartsheet can be costly. As for implementing its Control Center, Smartsheet forces you to have three people come in: it's a minimum of three people from Smartsheet for three months who will provide you the solutions for the Control Center side, and that's $150 an hour, so it can become very expensive. For my company, not having the Control Center would save on the setup fees and then the $20,000 a year, because the Control Center of Smartsheet is a yearly subscription of $20,000."
  • "Smartsheet has many licensing models. You need to add the package that best suits your requirements. The license is paid per user and it is monthly. The cost was approximately $7 per PC, $15 for professional, and $33 for the enterprise plan."
