We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"I like Alteryx Designer's drag-and-drop feature, where you drag a component, configure it and quickly run it.""The product offers very good analytics.""The product is very stable. The performance is reliable.""Alteryx Designer's best features are that it's easy to use and performs well.""The solution is easy to integrate and user-friendly.""Workflow automation, in general, is valuable.""Alteryx Designer is a tool that is pretty much easy to install.""The functionality of drag and drop is the most valuable. It is a very user-friendly tool that can be understood easily. My teams also work with other solutions, such as Integration Services, and these solutions are very difficult for people who don't have technical knowledge."

"The tool is reliable, quick, and powerful.""Its robustness is valuable. It is a full-fledged suite. We have a data warehouse model, and there are also a lot of data quality management tools. The repository and all other tools are there. So, it is a full package in terms of reporting tools.""If you compare it to SQL, the memory and development times are very quick.""The solution is very stable. We haven't faced any issues with glitches or bugs. We haven't had any crashes.""This is an established product with powerful data analysis and varied options for user entry points.""The product offers very good flexibility.""The technical support is excellent.""I am impressed with the tool's ability to customize."

Cons
"The actual usage part of it needs to be explained more. It's too vague right now.""The major concern in Alteryx Designer stems from the high costs attached to the product.""Its cost can sometimes be a drawback.""The price of the product is an area with certain shortcomings where improvements are required.""Improving the key-based sign-on process and making it more user-friendly would be a benefit.""The only thing is sometimes it can be a bit slow.""We need more documentation.""An improvement for Alteryx Designer would be faster bug fixes and updates."

More Alteryx Designer Cons →

"The solution is quite expensive and hard to install/configure.""One problem is accessing the data using a solution other than SAS. The SAS data, which we create in the SAS, cannot be accessed by other tools. We can't open those data in other applications. So we need to have that application in place.""I would like the tool to include the ability to automate the modifications of the integrations.""The pricing of the solution needs to be improved. They need to work to make it more affordable.""The solution could use better documentation.""With SAS Data Management, you have to purchase an external driver, configure all of the tables for all of the data that you will extract from Salesforce. It's not a straightforward process.""We find we often have to go back and re-train users when there are changes made to the solution because the changes are not intuitive.""Very little needs to improve but perhaps a nicer graphic interface and remaining competetive in the growing field of data analytics."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "It is too expensive for our country. We are a small country, so it is too difficult to sell this solution. With Alteryx Designer, if you want to automate the data and run the flows, you have to pay more money. We were trying to automate the flows, and we found out that people have to pay 600 more for this feature, which makes it even more expensive. We are a partner for Tableau, and we are working with Tableau Prep, which is like a mini Alteryx. In Tableau Prep, you can drag and drop and make new connections with the different data sources. You can make all the connections. You can also publish a source. You don't have to pay more money with Tableau. You pay like $5 per user per month to access it."
  • "Alteryx is a little bit expensive compared to competing solutions."
  • "Alteryx Designer is an expensive solution."
  • "I rate Alteryx Designer a six out of ten for pricing."
  • "The licenses are expensive, making it difficult to consider acquiring additional licenses to the existing ones."
  • "Each license is something like $4,000."
  • "I rate the price of Alteryx Designer as a five on a scale of one to ten, where one is extremely expensive, and ten is a highly cheap product."
  • "I rate the price of Alteryx Designer a ten on a scale of one to ten, where one is low price and ten is high price."
