We performed a comparison between Alteryx Designer and webMethods Integration Server based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Data Integration solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."Alteryx Designer is easier to use for machine learning models. However, I am not very good at Python scripts which you will need to make the machine learning scripts."
"The product is intuitive and easy to use."
"One of the things I like about Alteryx Designer is how easy it is to connect numerous data inputs, including API connectors. This helps tremendously in reducing the time required to extract data from systems like SAP that don't have straightforward connectivity options."
"Workflow automation, in general, is valuable."
"The features I found most valuable are the preparation features – the Join and the Transform."
"The most valuable features are the integrated properties and integrated connectivity."
"The solution is user-friendly."
"The most valuable feature of Alteryx Designer is its ability to select all the inputs and formulas."
"Broker and UM are the best features."
"I would say the core Web-based integrations work the best. They are the most efficient and robust implementations one can do with webMethods."
"High throughput and excellent scalability."
"The main assets are its flow language, debugging, and Broker. Flow language is far better and more flexible for debugging."
"It has a good integration server, designer, and a very good API portal."
"The most valuable feature of webMethods Integration Server is all the capabilities it provides. We leverage most of the features, that they have offered to us. Our vendor has made some additional features on top of the webMethods Integration Server and we use all the features together."
"Ease of implementation and flexibility to hold the business logic are the most valuable features."
"It is a very stable product."
"If the price were reduced then it would be more competitive."
"When it comes to the pivoting part, the drill-through option is not there in Alteryx."
"The only thing is sometimes it can be a bit slow."
"The product could offer more connectors and more databases with support for the in-database function."
"I would like to be able to include small snippets of code inside of the solution. The tool has only drag-and-drop features to make it easy to use, but sometimes I feel like this makes it more complicated."
"Its cost can sometimes be a drawback."
"Its price can be improved. It is too expensive for our country. Because of its high price, we can't sell Alteryx Designer in this region. We used to be their reseller partner. There is also an additional cost for automating the data and running the flows, which makes it even more expensive. It will be very good if they can let users automate the data for free. Other solutions like Tableau provide this feature for free."
"The major concern in Alteryx Designer stems from the high costs attached to the product."
"Rapid application development has to be considered, especially for UI, where user interference is crucial."
"wM SAP Adapter User Guide - Example, like Message Broker setup was unclear, leading to issues during Testing and we had refer the internet forums to understand that there is a Message Broker Cleanup utility and that needs to be setup as well."
"The interface needs some work. It is not very user-friendly."
"Need to see more API portal features like monetizing APIs and private cloud readiness."
"The installation process should be simplified for first time users and be made more user-friendly."
"A while ago, they were hacked, and it took them a very long time to open their website again in order to download any service packs or any features. I don't know what they could do differently. I know that they were vulnerable, and there was some downtime, but because they were down, we were unable to download any potential service packs."
"Version control is not very easy. The packages and the integration server are on Eclipse IDE, but you can't compare the code from the IDE. For example, if you are working on Java code, doing version control and deployment for a quick comparison between the code isn't easy. Some tools or plug-ins are there, such as CrossVista, and you can also play with an SVN server where you have to place your package, and from there, you can check, but you have to do that as a separate exercise. You can't do it from the IDE or webMethods server. You can't just right-click and upload your service."
"In terms of improvement, it would be better if it adapted quicker to open standards. It took a while for API specification before the last version was available. The spec of version two was rather quick."
