Pros
The ease-of-use allows non-technical business users to directly create their own solutions without the use of additional development resources. This is a drag-and-drop tool which is easy-to-use and yet can be customized by creating your own components. The solution offers excellent predicting power. The accuracy and confidence have been great. The product is very stable and super fast, five-star. It's significantly more stable than it's nearest competitor.Alteryx is so advanced. It's just drag and drop.Shortens the time required to start analyzing data and looking for insights, minimizing the tasks that do not add value to the business and maximizing the analysis phase.Alteryx speeds up the time to obtain business answers/insights on data.It is one of the most complete and great customer service that I experienced with a software company/ecosystem.

Statistical functionality and basic database interaction can become very straightforward for business users that don't have a background in SQL and data analysis. In Daman, I had used the data module, where you can join the table and take whatever data we require for our work. You join tables and create columns as you wish, then analyze data in various ways depending on what the problem is. We used it to detect fraud, abnormalities, anomalies, abnormal trends, etc. It's also good for exporting and importing tables. This solution allows for simplified working with large datasets.Scheduling downtime of some programs has been eliminated. We do not bother any longer with some programs did not run, hence having to rerun them again. We now mostly use the Enterprise Guide for such scheduling purposes, so error processes will not inhibit the others. It has definitely improved our communication with senior management. The point and click makes it easy to transfer the knowledge to new employees.

Cons
There is currently no cloud solution and this would be valuable for many clients. The GUI interface functions but it could stand to be updated to a more modern look and feel. The solution could work on the BI side of the tool to make it a bit better. The only area where the product lags is documentation and videos on the analytical app and the batch macro. It would be great if Alteryx could take third party tools and incorporate them.Even when it already includes some AI models, this area could be improved. It would be great to create the final users' visualization within Alteryx. The event handling, such that the file system watcher, is in need of improvement.

I would like to see integration with schedulers when run from hosting environments such as Citrix. Now that I have experience with Tableau, I think the visualization part of SAS EG could be more user friendly and easier to use. Tableau is very easy to use. It's just does a lot of work by itself, including color schemes. I think that could be incorporated easily into SAS EG, which would make it a much better product. Then you would not need Tableau.I would like to see better Charting in this solution.A log belongs to each program. I have experienced a situation where when I run just the exec files, it replaces the whole log and I wanted to see the earlier log, then this was not possible.Sentiment analytics would be a great feature to add into EG.It would be very useful if EG could be enhanced to automatically file and clear the project log to ensure non-stop running of the project.I feel that the performance could be increased by leveraging multi-thread with any SAS BI platform, not just the high performance ones.I see no reason for limiting the process to sequential all the time.

Pricing and Cost Advice
We have a yearly cost that we pay for the licensing. We do not pay any costs in addition to the licensing fees. The pricing is $5000 per year per production license.Opt for the three year subscription. It is 20% less than the yearly one.ROI is huge. There are some secondary benefits, like analysts getting their post 5 PM time back or the ability to shorten all closing processes to a half or less.It is $4,000 a year, so it is cheap versus other solutions. It also accomplishes three times the volume on the job in the same time (as the other solutions).‚ÄčIt can be a bit pricey, especially after the first year.
