We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"What I found most valuable in Amazon EC2 is that you only pay for what you use, versus an on-premise deployment that requires you to pay for the cost of the server. When it's on-premise, you'll need to meet more specifications and requirements, and the purchasing process even takes time. As Amazon EC2 is cloud-based, you'll only pay when you use the service.""The most valuable feature is EC2 is scalable, so when you want to move to market, you don't need to wait until your provision is fast, you can just go and provision it and then easily install your application.""The most valuable feature of Amazon EC2 is the computing capacity.""I use it for NextCloud and for developer purposes.""My company uses the tool for cloud monitoring. We have a production, staging, deployment, and testing environment in AWS. However, we do not use the managed service of AWS yet. My team uses the required parameters for security like VPC, firewall, gates of security as well as the external layer of the app.""I believe that cloud solutions are better than physical servers.""My favorite feature of this solution is the flexibility of instance types, which allows for the cost to be tailored to the usage amount and type.""The most valuable feature of Amazon EC2 is its ability to spin a new virtual machine in a few seconds."

"The initial setup is very easy. I would rate my experience with the initial setup a ten out of ten, where one point is difficult, and ten points are easy.""We can integrate the tool with other applications easily.""The most valuable features of this solution are ease of use and implementation.""The initial setup is very easy.""The most valuable feature has been the range of clients and the range of connectors that we could use.""The user interface is good and makes it easy to design very popular workflows.""It's an automated flow, where you can build a flow from source to destination, then do the transformation in between.""Visually, this is a good product."

Cons
"Support doesn't share or give insights on OS-based issues. That needs to improve because if someone is buying an EC2 instance with the Windows server and SQL license, the client expects that there will be a minimum level of support.""Amazon EC2 could improve its dashboards and UI, they need to be more user-friendly.""They can build automatic features for ENSS or network drive. They have the Control-M feature. Similarly, they should have a feature for the network drive that can be mapped. I have not seen such a feature. They have a lot of products but those are quite costly. There is no cheaper option available for the EC2 instance for syncing two drives. If these features are available, it would be good.""They should fix the key pair name functionality and provide the ability to assign multiple key pair names to an EC2 instance. It is a key pair feature, and it provides you the ability to actually log into the server. It is basically like a password. In terms of new features, it should have the ability to increase and decrease the instance size based on certain times of the day. We should be able to do this without turning off the EC2 instance. Currently, you have to turn it off and then turn it back on. It should also have HTTPS or SSL integration.""Amazon EC2 could improve the stability.""The support could be more responsive.""My impression is that the scalability of this product could be improved. My opinion is that, for example, the Lambda solution is much more scalable than EC2.""The only issue with EC2 is that it makes it difficult to install an LLS certificate on your WordPress website that you have deployed inside that virtual machine. That becomes complicated."

"We run many jobs, and there are already large tables. When we do not control NiFi on time, all reports fail for the day. So it's pretty slow to control, and it has to be improved.""There is room for improvement in integration with SSO. For example, NiFi does not have any integration with SSO. And if I want to give some kind of rollback access control across the organization. That is not possible.""More features must be added to the product.""There are some claims that NiFi is cloud-native but we have tested it, and it's not.""The overall stability of this solution could be improved. In a future release, we would like to have access to more features that could be used in a parallel way. This would provide more freedom with processing.""I think the UI interface needs to be more user-friendly.""The use case templates could be more precise to typical business needs.""There should be a better way to integrate a development environment with local tools."

    Overview

Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) is a web service that provides secure, resizable compute capacity in the cloud. It is designed to make web-scale cloud computing easier for developers.

Amazon EC2’s simple web service interface allows you to obtain and configure capacity with minimal friction. It provides you with complete control of your computing resources and lets you run on Amazon’s proven computing environment. Amazon EC2 reduces the time required to obtain and boot new server instances to minutes, allowing you to quickly scale capacity, both up and down, as your computing requirements change. Amazon EC2 changes the economics of computing by allowing you to pay only for capacity that you actually use. Amazon EC2 provides developers the tools to build failure resilient applications and isolate them from common failure scenarios.

Apache NiFi is an easy to use, powerful, and reliable system to process and distribute data. It supports powerful and scalable directed graphs of data routing, transformation, and system mediation logic.
