We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The initial setup is very quick."

More Another Monday Pros →

"The bot creation process is simple and useful. Whatever you need to do, it is there. If there is something else, there are the MetaBot functions.""The ability to find objects easily through the 'Capture' option saves your time most significantly.""Error handling plays an important role when you schedule a bot because if you are not physically present and something happens, you need to know what has gone wrong.""Automation Anywhere offers valuable features, including command packages for PDF, Windows, XML, and Excel, as well as universal recording capabilities.""The core functionality, the ability to automate these tasks and to interact, both with our own in-house software solutions as well as with our customers' and vendors' solutions and portals, has been incredibly valuable for us.""It's very easy for business users to learn Automation Anywhere.""Unattended use is its most valuable feature.""It has drag-and-drop features, which makes it very fast for us to gather the required data."

Cons
"The solution should come with language customization, which would simplify its use for our customers."

More Another Monday Cons →

"It is not able to use OCR effectively and has limited usability.""Automation Anywhere is unable to connect to the database directly. What we are doing now is directly writing the PL/SQL scripts and trying to push the data from the database into Automation Anywhere. This feature is available in UiPath, but not in Automation Anywhere.""The IQ Bots have a lot of room for improvement in terms of accuracy level. We need to improvise a lot. I'm facing another big challenge with one of the use cases. We raised a ticket and did multiple follow-ups with support, but the accuracy still isn't up to the mark.""While exporting a package, an option to de-select all the depending/referenced files should be available. Currently, it only allows for selecting all the files. Also, the views should be re-sizable as they are currently a fixed width. This would enable to view long file names easily eliminating any chances of exporting the wrong file.""We have been a little frustrated by the frequency of cache releases.""SMTP mail features should come with migration options. All kind of VB scripts and Java scripts which we built using exiting version should support in this version.""MetaBot still needs to be optimized, though Version 11.3 did integrate all the commands into it. We are not able to see all the lines of code which are executed in MetaBot.""The bot scaling process was painful, when you go beyond a few bots, and because we had stability issues. We had to work through the issues, and they took us a long time."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "There is no licensing fee for our customers."
  • More Another Monday Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "Pricing is too high for small-scale groups. The Control Room yearly fee is high, making it difficult to break even."
  • "Automation Anywhere is competitive... Pega is somewhat comparable, but Pega also requires a lot more infrastructure and a lot more experience to get up and running."
  • "Automation Anywhere is costlier than the general competition. That is aligned with the share of the market it has."
  • "They're very flexible around pricing and licensing."
  • "They give us a good deal on the licensing because we bundle and customize things. If you ask to get a bulk business deal, you will receive more benefit. If you take other products from the suite, like IQ Bot, you can also receive a deal on the licensing."
  • "We just did a round of price comparison on a global scale and found it's so hard to compare the license prices. But, Automation Anywhere, in general, is on the same price level as the other vendors, a bit lower in some cases."
  • "If you look at the capital expenditure, Automation Anywhere is number two to UiPath. But if you take a long-term view, on a scalable model of a large number of bots coming out, it slowly goes on to become the costliest tool. There is something they can do about that. The capital expenditure goes out right at the point of buying the tool. For Automation Anywhere, I would need to spend $20,000. UiPath can give me something for $6,000, while Blue Prism will come in at $300,000."
  • "It's cheaper than other similar solutions."

    Overview

Building a fully-automated robotic process environment where robot
workers performed an equivalent volume of work of over 1,500 full-time
virtual employees required the careful development and optimization of
    an RPA-architecture.
We created an architecture that embodies the best practices of both
RPA-methodology and RPA-tools. These two components defined automation
best practices like the enforcing of a rigorous process mapping and a
process automation design approach that captures every action for all
workflow possibilities and exceptions. Further, this enables a bot that
could seamlessly recover from exception-based failures. Ultimately,
that delivers industrial-grade performance at scale!
