We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"We have found the scalability to be quite good.""For anybody who is looking into enhancing or improving their application code quality, I would definitely recommend this solution.""There are many features that are very valuable to us, but the ability to monitor the status of the users' experience in real-time is one of them.""The most valuable feature of the solution is its GUI.""Whenever the application crashes from user behavior, we can easily simulate the error. We are happy with this feature and find it to be valuable.""In the case of a mobile banking application, AppDynamics Mobile Real-User Monitoring successfully reduced the response time from eight seconds to just one second. In another example, the tool identified an issue within the mobile app, causing lost transactions in the billing system."

"Customer are able to develop more quickly versions in which users can see the application to correct and monetize it.""We can collect data about the user experience and see how the user is behaving with the app, or check the behavior of the app itself.""It identifies transactions and flows of the operations that our customers use with our mobile application.""The thing that I like about AppPulse is that it's easy application to install and an easy application to use to provide information for our customers.""AppPulse Active allows us to very quickly produce synthetic monitoring for our applications.""The application is easy to use, as it is friendly and graphic.""The speed that you can get AppPulse out there was the brightest spot of this whole process.""With Google Analytics, you choose what performance metrics you want to have reported, but with AppPulse Mobile, you have a global vision of what is really happening inside your app."

Cons
"The way the agentless monitoring and agent monitoring get used is to be decided by the user, but there is no clarification on the setup phase or on how and why to use the aforementioned options.""I would like to see a better way to automate actions based on the events generated by the tool.""The only improvement I see is intercepting calls in a mobile application without injecting additional code. Currently, when instrumenting or monitoring a mobile application, it's necessary to release updates, prompt users to upgrade, and inject code into the backend. It would be beneficial if there were a method to intercept these calls without requiring users to download and upgrade the application. However, I'm unsure about the feasibility of such an approach.""In terms of improvements we would like to see, we want to understand what the battery consumption metrics are whenever a user is viewing. It would be really helpful for us if we could get those details levels.""There may be some older technologies that are still covered, however, it's not as plug-and-play. You can still do it, however, it takes slightly more effort for engineers to cover old technologies such as C++, Delphi, and so on. It still can be done. It's just not as easy as, for example, covering Java.""I would like to see accommodation for millisecond granularity, as we only have one-second granularity now."

"Currently, the information for management teams and technical teams are in the same view, but it would be useful if we could separate these views.""I would love if AppPulse delivered more details about my users, for example, age and sex. It could split up the users into categories based on how frequently they use my product.""The ability to get CI information from AppPulse into OMi.""It could be better if you had any of the reports that the customers asked from us, for example, punctually. Unfortunately, the reporter is not that practical.""The one that sticks out in my mind is some flexibility to do recurring downtime.""The regulations should be better customized for the kind of data that we cannot send to the SALs environment.""I think they can improve the feature that identifies the operating systems, the brand of the devices, the response time, geolocalization.""It needs compatibility for Windows Mobile, because I think AppPulse doesn't have Windows Mobile."
