We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros
We use Aqua Security for the container security features.Aqua Security allowed us to gain visibility into the vulnerabilities that were present in the container images, that were being rolled out, the amount of risk that we were introducing to the platform, and provided us a look into the container environment by introducing access control mechanisms. In addition, when it came to runtime-level policies, we could restrict container access to resources in our environment, such as network-level or other application-level access.Valuable features include the ability to connect it to our Docker Hub where our images are stored, good integration with Slack, and the connection to the CV, to easily see which CVs are on each image.

You need to make an architectural runway before actually starting to implement Docker Compose, especially in a distributed environment. The initial setup was really easy and the deployment was fast and straightforward. It is a compact, complete solution that performs well. This solution has improved our organization with the agility, microservices approach, and scalable solutions for distributed systems.Docker is very helpful for taking the code from development and applying it to the end user. Now it is easier to set up the development environment and also to test the applications on the pipelines. The most valuable aspect is the excellent support. In addition, the billing system is really easy to understand.

Cons
I would like Aqua Security to look into is the development of a web security portal.

I find Docker easier to use, but I gave it to an inexperienced developer and it took him a lot of time to understand.I would also like to see more features inside Docker as well as more integration with different solutions. The initial setup was quite complex. The orchestration and tracing should be improved. It would be very nice to have a GUI that can be used by any administrator, and not just people who have experience with Docker. The solution would benefit in improvements made to the storage, cleaning up information from the disk, and reading logs.I think this solution needs better security due to more risks from the outside world.Sometimes the basic support is a bit difficult if you have a firewall and cloud servers behind the firewall and then try to implement the backup solution, it is a bit difficult to do by yourself.

Pricing and Cost Advice
They were reasonable with their pricing. They were pretty down-to-earth about the way they pitched their product and the way they tried to close the deal. They were one of the rare companies that approached the whole valuation in a way that made sense for our company, for our needs, and for their own requirements as well... They will accommodate your needs if they are able to understand them and they're stated clearly.

We use the free version of this solution. The community edition does not require a license and is completely free. The pricing and licensing really depends on what your needs are. You could be paying $100 a month to $100,000. It depends on the needs you have from the solution, and the agreement you make.It is more costly than other products, but it is worth every penny.

Overview

The Aqua Container Security Platform provides development-to-production lifecycle controls for securing containerized applications that run on-premises or in the cloud, on Windows or Linux, supporting multiple orchestration environments.

Docker provides an integrated technology suite that enables development and IT operations teams to build, ship, and run distributed applications anywhere. Docker allows you to package an application with all of its dependencies into a standardized unit for software development. Docker containers wrap up a piece of software in a complete filesystem that contains everything it needs to run: code, runtime, system tools, system libraries, anything you can install on a server. This guarantees that it will always run the same, regardless of the environment it is running in.
