Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The ability to tailor an environment to suit our specific use cases is a major advantage of ArcSight compared to other logging servers such as Splunk.""The product has a valuable interface.""We found the correlation engine to be very good. It takes logs from different types of devices and does the correlation in a good way.""The most valuable feature of ArcSight Intelligence is a single console where the entire dashboard gives all the connected details in a single place."

"We are really pleased with Splunk and its features. It would be practically impossible to function without it. To provide a general overview of the system, it's important to note that the standard log files are currently around 250 gigabytes per day. It would be impossible to manually walk through these logs by hand, which is why automation is essential.""The most valuable feature is being able to take data and put it into other systems so that we could see the output, and to see where we need to apply our focus.""The most valuable feature is the ability to search through a large amount of data.""The product is at the forefront of auto-remediation networking. It's great.""Splunk is more user-friendly than some competing solutions we tried.""Because of some of the visualizations that we utilize, we are able to understand strange, unusual traffic on our networks.""The solution appears to be stable, although we haven't used it heavily.""The solution is definitely scalable."

Cons
"The dashboard is not user-friendly and is in black and white.""ArcSight Intelligence's pricing needs improvement.""The frequency of the updates that we are getting can be improved because the number and types of incidents that are happening at the global level are far more than what we are receiving. The frequency of updates feeds related to our rules should be increased. There should be more frequent information about the new rules that are coming and the global threats that are happening. There should be better options for dashboard creation. At present, the dashboards are good, but there is scope to make them better.""ArcSight Intelligence is a bit slower, and its speed should be improved."

More ArcSight Intelligence Cons →

"I would like improved downward integration with other tools such as McAfee and other GCP solutions.""It could be easier to scale the solution if you are using it on-premise, not in the cloud.""The correlation engine should have persistent and definable rules.""There are occasional bugs.""I'm not aware of any lacking features.""In the future I would like to see simplified statistics and analytical threats.""They should work to add more built-in correlation searches and more use cases based on worldwide customer experiences. They need more ready-made use cases.""Currently, a lot of network operations need improvement. We still need people to handle incidents. Our vision is to leverage status and convert it directly from the network devices. It would be ideal if we could take action using APIs and API code and remove manual processes."
