We performed a comparison between ARIS BPA and Bizagi based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Business Process Design solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."In general, the users really like it and they can get started using it very easily."
"The most valuable features are business process modeling and reporting."
"There is a really powerful reporting API that allows you to create almost any kind of report you want out of your process and document repository."
"The EPC modeling is very detailed, the semantic check is helpful, and auto-layout simplifies the formatting."
"The most valuable feature is the flexibility of the solution to fully customize the methodology according to the company's needs, and to enforce that methodology with features like filters, semantic checks, and reports."
"It helps the business make an informed decision."
"We also have relationships specified with our IT systems and our organizational chart. That makes it possible to analyze things from the systems point of view and regarding the organizational part of the company. It all comes together in one tool and that is what gives us the most value at the moment."
"ARIS is probably the most mature product in terms of modeling an enterprise architecture so that it has context."
"I like that Bizagi is fully compatible with BPMN 2.0. It also eases the way in which we work with BPMN 2.0 itself, which is a comprehensive and rather complex notation standard."
"The API is pretty straightforward."
"With the appropriate governance framework, properly trained business analysts can be empowered to design and build business solutions themselves."
"The product allowed users to connect with flow chart elements with ease."
"It has an easy to use interface which final users accepted with much more enthusiasm than our ERP (SAP)."
"The initial setup is super simple."
"I like the integration part, and I also like how they use the database, such as the data when they implement all the data side, and how you can easily integrate it with their widgets."
"The interface, design, and accessible user manuals to help get started using the solution are valuable features in Bizagi."
"There is not enough documentation provided for the tool's support or administration."
"Making it more customizable and easy to learn would be a benefit."
"The workflow approval process could be represented better in the overviews."
"The governance mechanism could be better, as could automation."
"The solution is difficult and not very exciting to learn."
"I believe the solutions BPM tools are not very good and need improvements."
"Training is one of the important aspects for process awareness. As soon as a process is rolled out, process training is required. If ARIS could generate output in PowerPoint, it would be great for business users."
"The integration between ARIS, webMethods, and project versions needs improvement."
"From a developer's point of view, an improvement in the layout would make the UI better."
"Cloud support for their process mapping tool could be better. To map all your processes in any way and call your data, you need to download their on-premise setup or their desktop setup. Cloud support for process mapping is limited, and they should work on that."
"Its performance needs to be improved. The main thing is that it is limited, especially in terms of the response times. When the processes become a bit large, it is very awkward to work with the Bizagi modeler. When you have already modeled but start to rearrange, it is quite a bit of an effort to change the stuff. When you rearrange lanes or have new structures, it goes rather squiggly up and down and so on, which could be improved. The visual outputs of the DIREPs of the process models are pixelated and have a bad image quality. It is a PNG or JPEG, and you cannot export it as a PDF. When you have rather large processes, you should be able to arrange them hierarchically. Currently, it is not supported. If you use sub-processes and inflate a process, suddenly the arrangement is totally different, and although you know the process, you have to look where is it now. You need a good understanding of the levels of your processes before you start in Bizagi. It can have automatic support for optimal presentation. In BPM, you should have it from the top left to the bottom right. However, in most cases, people don't know how they should arrange it. Therefore, it would be nice to have a suggestion system for different arrangements to be able to better present the process."
"I think that they could improve their update process. Some of the process mining techniques could be added to Bizagi. I think that they can improve their simulation abilities to include more elements of the BPMN."
"It should provide the ability to create a simple application. It can be used for database modeling diagrams and forms, but it should also support CRUD, that is, create, read, update and delete."
"We have migrated to the cloud, but there are a lot of issues while integrating with the cloud. There are a lot of things to improve with the cloud and reporting. We were previously working with on-premise solutions, and we had access to a lot of things, but with the cloud, they changed a lot of functionalities. Some of the things we know, but with some of the things, we are having difficulties."
"One part of the university has changed its regular desktops to Linux. This is a weak point because Bizagi doesn't run on Linux. I would like the opportunity to run the software inside of Linux."
"The performance could use improvement. We couldn't connect the processes to on one file. The performance is an issue for us."
