We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"What I like best about Artisan Infrastructure is that it has zero RTO, and that's the beauty of this solution because that feature isn't provided by other solutions right now. Artisan Infrastructure is a pure business continuity and DR solution, which means no other solution can compete with it. It also has the capability of being a service cloud."

"The scalability is good.""Firebase offers encryption out of the box.""This solution supports our real time database. We also use it for AB testing and for its Google Cloud functions. We make use of Crashlytics and reporting on details.""It is a stable solution...It is a very scalable solution.""Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.""It is a very stable solution.""The Realtime Database feature is the most important for us since we are able to see changes in the database the moment they are happening.""The most valuable features of Google Firebase have been Analytics, Remote Config, and Crashlytics. Additionally, a lot of companies have used push notifications which is important. There is little maintenance required."

Cons
"What needs improvement in Artisan Infrastructure is compatibility with Linux because it only works on Windows. I also wish to see some new features in Artisan Infrastructure. In the next release of Artisan Infrastructure, I'd like it to have integration with both Linux and Mac."

"There's always room for improvement in every product, and the major improvement that's needed in Google Firebase is its simplification, particularly for unsavvy users or non-technical users. If you're not tech-savvy, it would be very difficult for you to use the functions of the solution and understand its security rules. If you want even non-technical people to find it easy to use Google Firebase, it should be simplified because the difference between screen-derived management and code-derived management isn't complex, so simplification wouldn't be an issue.""The solution's pricing could be better.""The cold start-up of the cloud function needs to speed up. For me personally, I'm not experienced in anything there, however, I've just read online it's a problem.""Google Cloud Functions (which is still a BETA version) needs to have more control over the uploaded functions. That is, it needs more options for controlling the functions itself.""I would like to have a facility for testing possible scenarios by writing dummy data and then doing different queries.""The solution could improve by providing an improved SDK tool and automatic indexing for databases.""The UI for the realtime database could be simplified.""One of the challenges I was facing when I was using it was the library called Google Dialogflow which allows you to connect your chatbot with an intent. So there is so much adding when you are trying to connect it with your service because you have to do a lot of repetition writing a new intent, putting it step by set so it is good to escape. I believe it should be flexible and dedicate the intents based on the relating and to write a lesser code when doing that."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Pricing for Artisan Infrastructure is competitive, though it's a little bit high because it's an excellent solution. You can expect a higher price if you buy a solution that works well. The cost of Artisan Infrastructure would depend on the server size. If I were to rate the price for Artisan Infrastructure, I'd give it a three out of five."

  • "They have a free tier that will cover most projects. For more intensive use, you pay as you use it, but the price is very cheap."
  • "It is not easy to calculate the cost per copy, use or if the load rose dramatically we did not know how that would impact the final price."
  • "The monthly cost is based on writing data and queries to the database."
  • "The pricing component is a bit confusing when it comes to what exactly you'll pay for, but I wouldn't say it's expensive."
  • "The moment you go into volumes, then you work on a pay-per-volume basis."
  • "The price of Google Firebase is very good."
  • "We are using the free version of Google Firebase."
  • "Pricing for Google Firebase is not so expensive, and if you're a start-up with a small amount of data, it will be quite cheap, and there's even a free tier that you can use. If you're doing a pilot with a reasonable amount of data, for example, just a few gigabytes, it's still on the free tier. If you increase the amount of data, Google Firebase pricing is still reasonable."
