We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"I have found all the features useful in the solution.""It has helped us to provide comprehensive data protection with high recovery rates and a malware scanning feature.""The solution has been very stable.""The agentless architecture has minimized our software footprint at the client level."

More Asigra Pros →

"It provides our disaster recovery solution. It works fine in our tests.""We have never had any issues with scalability.""Technical support has been very good. They usually respond quickly to our requests.""The initial setup is pretty straightforward, it's not complex.""The solution is dependent on the network bandwidth. For example, if they have a bandwidth of 10Mbps the solution will run a little heavier. If the bandwidth is good the solution runs well.""CloudEndure Disaster Recovery is a fairly stable solution.""The most valuable aspect of CloudEndure Disaster Recovery is its instant block replication feature. This allows us to perform live block verification and eliminates the need to concern ourselves with recovery point objectives. This capability is particularly advantageous for critical workloads.""We went from an organization with minimal to no disaster recovery. I was able to spin up the disaster recovery environment with AWS rather quickly and meet business requirements."

Cons
"They should improve the malware scanning capabilities, extending it to protect cloud application data.""The management could be a bit better."

More Asigra Cons →

"Sometimes a server will get a bit behind. ""I have not seen any areas that need improvement at this time.""The only thing I would like to see is, they don't have a formal ticketing system. There is no way I can go back and see what questions we had six months back, what issues we had, and how they were resolved.""I would like to see better support for creating and working with archives.""The solution's network setup and a lot of the control tower setup could be improved.""The user interface, customer support, and the recovery time for the current customer query could use improvement.""The failback could be improved. It should be more intuitive.""I set up a test, deleted the source, and went to fail it back, and it didn't work."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Asigra is priced competitively, but requires technical expertise to operate, optimize, and maintain its services."
  • "The price of Asigra could improve, it is expensive. We have purchased an annual license."
  • More Asigra Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "We were happy with the pricing that they gave us."
  • "They license us on a per machine basis. We have a set number of machines, which we have licensed."
  • "I feel the product's pricing is a good value. Licensing is pretty straightforward."
  • "The pricing is better now that they had come out with the Tier 2 which replicates a little less often. In comparison to what I would have been spending with any other type of solution, the pricing is fair."
  • "Where the price adds up, there are CloudEndure licenses, then there is the AWS environment, and finally, there is the AWS storage, so cumulatively, it adds up."
  • "It has saved us money from having to buy hardware for disaster recovery."
  • "CloudEndure Disaster Recovery is charging clients $20 to do the DR backups. It is an expensive solution."
  • "I rate the price of CloudEndure Disaster Recovery a six out of ten."

    Overview

Asigra makes award-winning enterprise backup and recovery software that leads the industry in secure, reliable, manageable and affordable data protection. Asigra Cloud Backup works in the cloud or on-premise, for everything from mobile devices to entire data centers.

AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery (AWS DRS) minimizes downtime and data loss with fast, reliable recovery of on-premises and cloud-based applications using affordable storage, minimal compute, and point-in-time recovery.

Set up AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery on your source servers to initiate secure data replication. Your data is replicated to a staging area subnet in your AWS account, in the AWS Region you select. The staging area design reduces costs by using affordable storage and minimal compute resources to maintain ongoing replication. You can perform non-disruptive tests to confirm that implementation is complete. During normal operation, maintain readiness by monitoring replication and periodically performing non-disruptive recovery and failback drills. If you need to recover applications, you can launch recovery instances on AWS within minutes, using the most up-to-date server state or a previous point in time. After your applications are running on AWS, you can choose to keep them there, or you can initiate data replication back to your primary site when the issue is resolved. You can fail back to your primary site whenever you’re ready.
