"The solution is very stable and offers a good level of performance.""One of the most valuable features is the encryption which helps save you from ransomware. Because the data is already encrypted, it cannot be encrypted again.""Commvault is both very stable and scalable.""We have multiple workloads, including SQL, Oracle, SAP HANA, especially Sybase, as well as file systems, VMs, and Exchange mailboxes. Commvault provides very good support for them.""We use Commvault Command Center for backups and restores and for the creation of new clients. We use it for other functionalities as well. In terms of VMware, I can go directly to the Command Center, enter VMware, and I can search it directly. Command Center is very useful and it can be used for more advanced techniques.""We recommend this product for people who are running the Oracle Virtualization Manager.""Commvault is a very stable product.""This is a very stable product."

Cons
"The management could be a bit better."

More Asigra Cons »

"They can always improve the interface design to make it easier. Sometimes, you need to click two or three times to do something. They should look at what tabs are used most and make them more accessible, to cut the time it takes to get to that information.""They need to improve when it comes to large, video file archiving. They're good, but they have not met my expectations as a customer in this area.""The product could be more convenient in terms of working with different solutions and having more integration between the different products in the market.""We've run into some issues when attempting to restore very large numbers of files. Of course, that's more of a design issue.""Setup is complex.""I think there is room for improvement with the reports. They are a little poor.""It takes a lot of technical expertise to implement. Commvault could increase the training it provides to customers and partners.""I would like them to keep working on the new web interface to migrate out of the old interface because the old interface is a bit complex. It was driving customers away because of the complexity. If they migrate everything (100 percent of the features), this would make the product be perfect."

Pricing and Cost Advice
Information Not Available
"It is cheaper than Veeam.""The licensing costs are determined on a yearly basis. It might be around $40,000 or $50,000. There are no costs in addition to the standard licensing fees.""In India, this is a very expensive product.""Commvault licensing is a perpetual license so only the support is being renewed yearly.""It would not be affordable for small to medium size organizations.""The price is not cheap, but when you compare it to the other products they are all almost the same level in terms of price.""We have checked some other products, but we are not testing them because price-wise, Commvault is better than the other solutions.""It is cheaper than NetBackup, but its price can be lower. If a good solution can be cheaper, it is always an advantage. Its licensing is on a yearly basis."
