Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The solution has removed humans making errors while increasing our time savings. We now have a lot of more efficiencies in our process.""It removes demotivating, repetitive work from our teams.""The drag-and-drop feature is valuable.""The integration of RPA bots with other processes and documents is good. We don't have any issues there. We could have more connectors, but it's fine. I have used it for SAP and for direct API-to-API, and that went well.""We saw a 70 percent decrease in manual steps. If something took 10 steps to do, we are doing it in three steps today.""In Automation Anywhere we liked the drag-and-drop and easily stitching the recording of mouse control and keyboard controls.""The training and resources for this tool are very good. They are so simple that anyone can easily learn it. One of the tool values is its ease of use.""Automation Anywhere has a Bot Store. E.g., you can download the bot from the Bot Store and utilize it's data extraction capabilities. You can extract unstructured data through IQ Bot. Getting unstructured data is not difficult. I once obtained an 84 page PDF file using an IQ Bot. This was just the trial version, and it was really good. I was able to get all the circuit IDs and properties that wanted in a simple CSV format. I had not seen anything like this before. When compared to other platforms, such as UiPath, they don't have these capabilities right now. They have activities like PDF extraction, but that's not good enough."

"Stability-wise, I rate the solution a nine out of ten...I rate the technical support of the solution a nine out of ten.""The ability to automate our processes with external plug-ins and zero code is the most valuable feature.""We can quickly adapt to our end users.""The initial setup was easy and straightforward.""The studio design is fine compared to other similar products. There is nothing extraordinary about it, but at the same time, there are not any negatives.""The most valuable feature of AutomationEdge is creating accounts.""The product's most valuable feature is the executor.""It helps us with cost optimization and easy implementation."

Cons
"We would like to have a better debugging facility.""Triggers work in the attended mode on Automation Anywhere. I would love it if we could use triggers in the unattended mode too. This way we can use the feature more in our IT sector. E.g., when any service or folder is accessed by unauthorized person, we want to be able to get an immediate trigger, even on "out of office", this would be helpful for my organization.""Some NLP AI is required to work in combination with RPA, especially for reading unstructured emails.""The biggest challenge that I have with Automation Anywhere is the pace of upgrades that they do. We are not an IT company, we are a mining company. We are very conservative in doing our upgrades and moving from one platform to another. Upgrades are one of the challenges we are having with Automation Anywhere.""We are having trouble creating a reliable and stable situation in our environment.""Excel, Outlook, and Word automation are very difficult with V11.""We've had a lot of issues with the installation and performance on a variety of computers, onshore and offshore. Our network bounds multiple domains, and we've had issues there, as well. So, we are looking forward to the web-based development versions.""There is room for improvement when this application is used in a Citrix-based environment."

More Automation Anywhere (AA) Cons →

"They could provide more technologies for IT and security to enhance machine learning capabilities.""The installation process could improve. It was difficult to complete.""With other automation solutions in the market, we can simulate the process in our notebooks where the solution creates the code for us, but with AutomationEdge we can't do this.""It's not an intuitive tool.""There are some shortcomings in the product's stability that need improvement.""AutomationEdge's ecosystem has shortcomings and needs improvement. When we compare AutomationEdge to other RPA tools in our company, we find that it has a very minor online community.""The price of the solution could be improved.""In the future, they should have a similar version for the cloud and on-premises, and the installation should be flawless within few minutes."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Pricing is too high for small-scale groups. The Control Room yearly fee is high, making it difficult to break even."
  • "Automation Anywhere is competitive... Pega is somewhat comparable, but Pega also requires a lot more infrastructure and a lot more experience to get up and running."
  • "Automation Anywhere is costlier than the general competition. That is aligned with the share of the market it has."
  • "They're very flexible around pricing and licensing."
  • "They give us a good deal on the licensing because we bundle and customize things. If you ask to get a bulk business deal, you will receive more benefit. If you take other products from the suite, like IQ Bot, you can also receive a deal on the licensing."
  • "We just did a round of price comparison on a global scale and found it's so hard to compare the license prices. But, Automation Anywhere, in general, is on the same price level as the other vendors, a bit lower in some cases."
  • "If you look at the capital expenditure, Automation Anywhere is number two to UiPath. But if you take a long-term view, on a scalable model of a large number of bots coming out, it slowly goes on to become the costliest tool. There is something they can do about that. The capital expenditure goes out right at the point of buying the tool. For Automation Anywhere, I would need to spend $20,000. UiPath can give me something for $6,000, while Blue Prism will come in at $300,000."
  • "It's cheaper than other similar solutions."
  • More Automation Anywhere (AA) Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "The licensing for this solution should have a more competitive pricing model. The price is in the top five of similar products."
  • "If you are looking for a budget solution, you can consider AE. It has all the features. Scaling it is way easier because of the cost itself."
  • "I give the price of the solution a nine out of ten."
  • "Pricing can be made better. Currently, I think the pricing is based on the market. The pricing also depends on the business partners that offer you the solution."
  • "Price-wise, AutomationEdge is pretty affordable, making it not so expensive when you compare this with other tools in the market."
  • "The product is available at the lowest price."
