We performed a comparison between Automation Anywhere and Microsoft Power Automate based on our users’ reviews in four categories. After reading all of the collected data, you can find our conclusion below.
Comparison of Results: Based on the parameters we compared, Automation Anywhere seems to be a slightly superior solution. All other things being more or less equal, our reviewers found Microsoft Power Automate’s automation capabilities and technical support documents to be lacking. Some users feel that Automation Anywhere’s documentation could also be improved.
"The company continues with research and development to expand the capabilities of the product to meet market needs."
"The technical support is good. We have not had any issues."
"The initial setup was straightforward. It is a very guided experience: out-of-the-box with Automation Anywhere University training."
"The best part about A2019 is its ease of use. You don't need to be a coding champ or an expert to use and implement A2019 in automating tasks. It's very easy to learn, tweak, and implement in your day-to-day tasks, especially features like capture/record is completely marvelous."
"This boosts the customer confidence and experience. When the customer experience increases, obviously sales will increase."
"The CyberArk integration and setup are really amazing and it helps us to win deals for new projects."
"I don't think one feature is more valuable than any other. In my opinion, the value is in the totality of the platform. It is easy to use for our developers with a well laid out UI and many canned tools. The Control Room is very easy to navigate and mostly intuitive to use."
"When our organization switched to Automation Anywhere, the accuracy rate improved and consequently, there has not been much data loss."
"For people who already use Office 365, Power Automate is very easy to integrate and use."
"You can automate almost everything in your organization by simply dragging and dropping and selecting a few options, whether it's an Excel spreadsheet or other on-premise data."
"The interface is user-friendly."
"It's an intuitive product. It's not overly technical."
"The solution integrates more easily and with more tools than Automation Anywhere."
"The solution is relatively easy to use and cost-effective."
"I like Power Automate because it is very easy to use for users who don't have IT knowledge."
"Its ease of use is most valuable. A lot of the bulk functionality is done either through standalone or custom connectors and standard API processes."
"I just came to understand that there is a cloud attached to it. I would like to see how the cloud is going to work, because every application is coming out with a cloud version. If you are not on-premise, then you will need to have Citrix automation."
"For improvement, I would like to see Automation Anywhere integrating with multiple other technologies. As of now, it is integrating with .NET. When it come to future technologies, I want Automation Anywhere to integrate with Python scripts, and make the execution easier. That will be very helpful, having our cognitive technologies interacting with Automation Anywhere."
"It should be easier to use."
"Automation Anywhere says that you can use this tool for any type of application, but there are some for which it is not compatible."
"I would like more integration into the entire Microsoft Suite of products, not just Excel. Companies use all of Microsoft products at the same time, and being good at just one Microsoft tool is a limiting factor. Being able to use Microsoft Excel, Access, and Outlook together and have them integrated (as standard) into the tool would be very useful, especially when you go into attended automation."
"We have had issues with stability in the past, and there should be a function that helps you to find out what is wrong with your environment that is causing the automation to fail."
"Support is not very satisfactory."
"I am not technically inclined, and it involves many steps for a process to function properly. It requires a lot of work initially to design and develop a process. I find it somewhat challenging. If you take time to understand it, it's not too difficult, but it seems complicated at the beginning if you're not a technical person."
"When we scale up, we switch to another application."
"Their connector to Oracle or premium data sets that aren't Microsoft would often fail for me. The information given back about why it failed wasn't always robust to understand how to fix it and why it happened."
"One of the challenges is dealing with OCR text recognition."
"There are frequent version updates and that impacts different algorithms so we have to adjust our code."
"The speed of the application could be improved."
"They can improve the description of errors and provide more details. Sometimes, when I receive an error, I can't understand what is wrong. It would be useful to have a desktop version to modify or edit workflows. Its scalability can also be better."
"From an improvement perspective, Microsoft just needs to make sure that they have a real enterprise RPA tool. PowerApps and Power Automate are still not at the level of UiPath and Automation Anywhere. It could be because Automation Anywhere and UiPath have been in the market for quite some time. It's just about Microsoft increasing their focus in terms of product reviews and development and making them competitive products that one can consider at an enterprise level. Right now, their use cases are limited as compared to what one would consider doing with UiPath and Automation Anywhere."
"We find the solution to be not that user-friendly, and might be using the older version, which really did not have a lot of features, so my review is mostly based on the older version."
