We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The product's initial setup phase was super easy.""The initial setup is super easy.""It is the best product in the market for Office 365 backup, and our customers are satisfied with it.""The most valuable features are the email backup and the SharePoint backup.""It is the only product in the market that offers platform backup.""The recovery options in Microsoft 365 are not adequate and it does not help to recover data from the recycle bin that is older than 90 days. The solution has made us more efficient and helps to recover data that is older than 90 days.""The most promising feature of the product is data security policies, which make it simpler to include compliance processes.""It is a very good and stable solution...With AvePoint's support, our experience has been exceptional"

"We have never had any issues with scalability.""The solution is dependent on the network bandwidth. For example, if they have a bandwidth of 10Mbps the solution will run a little heavier. If the bandwidth is good the solution runs well.""For regular backup and restore solutions, this product is fine.""It provides our disaster recovery solution. It works fine in our tests.""The most valuable aspect of CloudEndure Disaster Recovery is its instant block replication feature. This allows us to perform live block verification and eliminates the need to concern ourselves with recovery point objectives. This capability is particularly advantageous for critical workloads.""CloudEndure Disaster Recovery is a fairly stable solution.""The initial setup is really straightforward.""Technical support has been very good. They usually respond quickly to our requests."

Cons
"Some customers choose other backup solutions because AvePoint is Office 365 and CRM backup system, but they have other backup needs for Azure and so on. Such customers often choose another backup solution instead of AvePoint.""It is not a traditional restore process and it is somewhat limited in what we can do.""It would be beneficial to have a more optimal Google Backup for larger environments.""The component in the product that can be improved revolves around the area where the tool should focus on providing more of a custom touch to the policies.""It is challenging for small or medium-sized businesses to purchase it.""The restoration could be faster.""I would like to see improvements in the tool's initial seed. The initial seed of around 10 TB of SharePoint data took 45 days to complete.""For improvement, AvePoint can provide details on how the tool's backup scope works."

More AvePoint Cloud Backup Cons →

"The UI could be a little sleeker.""The bandwidth is a constant upload communication to the AWS DR environment, so if you do not have the proper bandwidth, it will definitely eat up your internet line.""I would like to see better support for creating and working with archives.""Definitely there should be better logging. From a customer perspective I would like to see more logs on what is happening. If there is an issue, I would like to know what the problem is. Right now, we have to depend on the support of the vendor to check and let us know, because we don't have access to a lot of logging information.""I have not seen any areas that need improvement at this time.""The failback could be improved. It should be more intuitive.""Sometimes a server will get a bit behind. ""The user interface, customer support, and the recovery time for the current customer query could use improvement."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "I am not sure, but I believe that the cost is $7 USD per user."
  • "It is very good for many of my customers in the banking and finance segments. The price isn't a problem there, but in some other industries, people ask for a cheaper solution. When the price is an issue for the customer, we recommend Veeam, Metallic."
  • "The pricing part of the solution is based on a subscription model, which is based on the number of users or storage capacity."
  • "It costs a little bit more than other competitors in the market."
  • "The platform is more expensive than other vendors."
  • "I would say that the pricing policy of the product is flexible and good."

  • "We were happy with the pricing that they gave us."
  • "They license us on a per machine basis. We have a set number of machines, which we have licensed."
  • "I feel the product's pricing is a good value. Licensing is pretty straightforward."
  • "The pricing is better now that they had come out with the Tier 2 which replicates a little less often. In comparison to what I would have been spending with any other type of solution, the pricing is fair."
  • "Where the price adds up, there are CloudEndure licenses, then there is the AWS environment, and finally, there is the AWS storage, so cumulatively, it adds up."
  • "It has saved us money from having to buy hardware for disaster recovery."
  • "CloudEndure Disaster Recovery is charging clients $20 to do the DR backups. It is an expensive solution."
  • "I rate the price of CloudEndure Disaster Recovery a six out of ten."

AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery (AWS DRS) minimizes downtime and data loss with fast, reliable recovery of on-premises and cloud-based applications using affordable storage, minimal compute, and point-in-time recovery.

Set up AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery on your source servers to initiate secure data replication. Your data is replicated to a staging area subnet in your AWS account, in the AWS Region you select. The staging area design reduces costs by using affordable storage and minimal compute resources to maintain ongoing replication. You can perform non-disruptive tests to confirm that implementation is complete. During normal operation, maintain readiness by monitoring replication and periodically performing non-disruptive recovery and failback drills. If you need to recover applications, you can launch recovery instances on AWS within minutes, using the most up-to-date server state or a previous point in time. After your applications are running on AWS, you can choose to keep them there, or you can initiate data replication back to your primary site when the issue is resolved. You can fail back to your primary site whenever you’re ready.
