We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros
"It is a very stable product and very scalable.""The solution is very easy to use.""They're moving a lot of their workload to cloud and aiming for a seamlessly integrated product.""The most useful thing is that it provides a snapshot of your environment in about 15 minutes. It is stable, and it always works. It is also scalable and easy to set up."

"The product is very scalable, robust, has an easy setup with a short-duration deployment and good technical support.""The features that we like the most are the Backup Copy and Active Directory Integration. They have helped us to save a lot of time since we do not have to make the backup copies “by hand”.""The main advantage from our perspective is the ability to plug this solution into an existing infrastructure on a cheap device and point the backup at the server targets and configure the backup options in a simple menu; linking to a cheap cloud resource for a simple solution for off-site storage.""The back-up and restore functions work great and it's easy to use.""The solution is stable; there is no need to retry any sort of jobs in daily operations.""NAKIVO is easy to use and pretty easy to set up.""The most valuable feature is the support, as it is directly from Nakivo and it is possible to send a support request that contains all of the technical data on the environment, as well as the software, required for the answer.""The fact that it works with Synology is a big valuable point. Also, that we can check the functionality of a backup so easily. Cloud integration is valuable because the ability to not only backup locally, but to the cloud, has been a great addition to the already fantastic product. We can save so much time with Nakivo and are very happy that we found it and loved to use it for our solutions."

Cons
"It is for site-to-site replication. When something goes wrong on your site, you only get 15 minutes before it also goes wrong on your replicated site. There should be some way to be able to say that we want to restore it, but we want to restore it to the version from yesterday. It should support versioning. I would also like to see real-time scanning for advanced threat protection, more straightforward billing, and quicker turnaround on the tech support.""We need to be able to move the virtual servers and not build and then port them across. They need to improve the hypervisor.""It could include more of a backup and recovery.""When it runs, it runs well but when it doesn't run, the solution needs to make it clearer as to why and what the troubleshooting process is. All this would be possible if the error logging was streamlined a bit."

"In the press releases, it would be useful to make sure that the manual space reclaim procedure does not have to be performed but that it happens automatically, thus optimizing the use of space.""It would be interesting if it were possible to integrate a mobile app to monitor the system in real-time.""I would like to see support for backing up from other platforms, such as physical machines.""An additional feature that would be appreciated is disaster recovery automation.""It'll help if they offered some automation and more usability for partners.""It would be good if I could have a remote upgrade of our Synology Transporters, but the manual upgrade is easy and no problem at all.""What must be improved is the response time to technical support requests.""The first implementation is a bit difficult but once is up and running is rock solid and extremely easy to manage."

Pricing and Cost Advice
"It should have more straightforward billing. The billing was what got funky. It was really cheap. We would pay based on the usage. We paid around $225 a month for site-to-site replication."

"The licensing model is crystal clear on the website.""The licensing currently allows for host-based licensing, which is advantageous if you have a lot of data on a few hosts.""The pricing, setup costs, and licensing are easy to understand, no matter how you want to implement it.""Talk to the sales department about all of the possibilities, as they will help you to find the best solution for your setup.""As a free solution for a small environment, this is a great solution!""The prices are high.""You have a lot of different options when it comes to pricing and the pricing models are pretty flexible and affordable.""This product provides good value for the price."
