We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.

Pros
"The most valuable feature is the interface, which is very nice to work with.""The most valuable features are the ease of use and the fact that users themselves can self-provision and recover."

"It has helped to minimize the risk and scale services at large in virtually no time.""The fact that you can get a person on the phone has just been fantastic.""They have a very nice web interface to allow you to manage and reorganize your server.""It is also important that Linode offers worldwide coverage via multiple data centers. The ability to deploy on multiple servers, worldwide, allows us to have distributed services and failover and redundancy.""The cloud management panel is nice.""The most valuable feature is that they are flexible and easy to get ahold of if I need something.""Service availability is the most valuable feature. It gives every user 100 percent uptime.""The most valuable features are the simple scalability and ease of starting a new virtual machine."

Cons
"The device does not allow you to do multiple backups over the whole environment.""Not a ten because there's always room for improvement."

More Backupify Google Workspace Backup Cons →

"Our primary concern is always the latency.""One thing that I'd really like to see is auto-scaling node pools for their Kubernetes. I don't think that they have that. That's a huge one and would be very helpful. Specifically, what I would like is auto-scaling node pools that would scale down to zero nodes, which is tricky. That's very important for certain use cases.""Right now, they don't have multiple data centers. They have limited data centers. I am currently using the Singapore and Mumbai data centers, but I am looking for data centers in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. They need to improve the availability of their data centers and partnership engagements with cloud Panda solution providers, like us.""The only improvement in this aspect of the service which I can think of is perhaps a pool of developers who could be hired for those cases where the need goes beyond the support offered.""It would be nice if they had more data centers in Latin America.""Because they are a smaller company, they do not have, for example, all of the ways for authentication that Amazon or Azure has.""There is no notification from the company regarding upgrades.""It's not really an issue with Linode itself but upgrading Linux major versions can be challenging. It would be be fantastic if Linode developed a way to ease transitioning to a major new Linux upgrade."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "The costs were about $1,000 USD to buy the unit in the first place, and then between $250 and $300 per year for support."
  • More Backupify Google Workspace Backup Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "I pay just over £20 per month and have done so ever since I started eight years ago, which to me is good value."
  • "The pricing model is very simple. I like the simplicity of it, starting at $5, then doubling as it goes up from there. That is a brilliant idea, and it is not complex at all. It is about as dead simple as you can imagine. So, if you want to double what you have, then you double your price, pay the money, and reboot. It is done. It's that simple. You can't beat that."
  • "One key difference is that pricing is very hard to come by and to understand with all the bigger companies. Their pricing models are so weird and it's hard to figure out exactly how much I am going to pay for this kind of service. Everything is piecemeal. With Linode, it's simple and straightforward. You know exactly what you will have to pay at the end of the day."
  • "Compared to other service providers, like AWS and Google, the cost of services are much less and more affordable. We are saving about 90 percent by going with Linode versus other cloud providers."
  • "The pricing model is very simple. If you have very small applications, you can use the plan which costs $5 per month. That gives you 50 GB of memory and almost 1 GB of RAM. If you need more than you have to select the next plan which is $10 per month, which has about 70 GB of data and 2 GB of RAM."
  • "The value for the price is really good."
  • "Pricing is very good and flexible, according to the resources required."
  • "Being that they are small, their prices are slightly higher than the large providers like Amazon if you compare raw computing power."
