Pros
"Dashboards and self-service reports. These are widely used by customers in the EPM domain."

More Birst Pros →

"Data integration is very good.""Planning is the most valuable feature of the product because it's integrated and that means we don't need to rely on an independent planning environment.""The most valuable feature of the tool is machine learning.""One of the most outstanding features is being able to use the dashboard with a touch screen.""There is a seamless integration with SAP S4HANA which is really valuable to our organization and its functions. Since the data is stored in the same ecosystem, it creates a simple process of building dashboards, without making the process cumbersome The Analytics Cloud provides standardized templates and storage options, making it easy to plug into existing structures. We're utilizing custom stories that have already been developed, streamlining the development process. It serves as a convenient starting point and contributes to the overall ease of development. Another advantage is that it doesn't provide the same level of calculation power as Power BI and Tableau. SAP Analytics Cloud emphasizes pushing analytics back into the database, recommending data manipulation and preparation outside of the platform. This approach is seen as an advantage, as it allows for more robust data handling.""The most useful feature of SAP Analytics Cloud is planning because it helps users with making predictions and forecasts. Clients can forecast, make data allocations, and other actions. The solution is useful for planning.""Easy to use.""All of the modules that we used to have separately in our on-premises solution are now integrated into one platform."

Cons
"Customer support takes lot of time to get a solution."

More Birst Cons →

"The connection works only for importing data. Currently, there is no real-time integration between SAP Analytics Cloud and CRM. There are some features present in the classic but not in the optimized version. If I need to create something specific, I often have to switch the versions. It would be more convenient to have a single product that incorporates all the necessary features.""SAP could add some more visualization features to Analytics Cloud, like charts and analytics. I would also like to see some more data cleaning and ad hoc functions added to this solution.""The customizations need to be better.""I would like to see reporting to the Analytics cloud directly.""Custom visuals is another area of improvement. There are also some mobile features that are missing. There are features that aren't available on the mobile.""The security, authorization, and live connection to the back-office system features can be improved. A business analyst colleague who creates complex financial management reports has mentioned that he wants to see more fact and visualization features. It would be helpful to have more visualization features to be able to prepare more stories or reports for executives. For example, Tableau has some visualization features that are not present in this solution.""We are currently working on connectivity with S/4HANA, but we would like to have better connectivity with our legacy systems.""There should be more features for the time series charts."
