We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros
"The most valuable features of this solution are the IPS and the integration with ISE.""The simplicity of use is its most valuable feature. You can very clearly see things.""The stability of the solution is perfect. I believe it's the most stable solution on the market right now.""I am really satisfied with the technical support.""It is a very stable program.""The solution's integration capabilities are excellent. It's one of the best features.""It doesn't impact the devices. It is an agent-based solution, and we see no performance knock on cell phones. That was a big thing for us, especially in the mobile world. We don't see battery degradation like you do with other solutions which really drain the battery, as they're constantly doing things. That can shorten the useful life of a device.""Integration is a key selling factor for Cisco security products. We have a Cisco Enterprise Agreement with access to Cisco Email Security, Cisco Firepower, Cisco Stealthwatch, Cisco Talos, Cisco Threat Grid, Cisco Umbrella, and also third-party solutions. This is key to our security and maximizing operations. Because we do have the Email Security appliance and it is integrated with Threat Response, we have everything tied together. Additionally, we are using the Cisco SecureX platform, as we were a beta test for that new solution. With SecureX, we are able to pull all those applications into one pane for visibility and maintenance. This greatly maximizes our security operations."

"The cloud management is easy and useful, especially in our case when we have multiple offices in different locations.""The best feature for our customers is the ransomware feature. It is very fresh and powerful. Bitdefender also has a feature called Ransomware Vaccine. With this feature, when a file from the ransomware is encrypted Bitdefender can revert it back to the original file. It automatically decrypts the file and puts the ransom in quarantine.""It is easy to scale and it is suitable for organizations from small businesses to enterprise.""The most valuable feature for me is the ability to whitelist, blacklist, and be very granular as to what I blocked, what apps I blocked, and what websites I block. I think that's probably the most valuable feature.""Great protection against malware, ransomware, and any other forms of malicious software.""We like the dashboard, the console, the reporting. It's very easy to deploy.""The advantage of the solution is that it has a console on the cloud and you can update the clients.""With Bitdefender GravityZone Ultra, we don't have to worry about our endpoints or attacks. Our security has become stronger. This has been a reliable solution for our company."

"The most valuable feature of this solution is the management.""The most valuable feature is the antispam module, which comes in the bundle.""Technical support has been very good. They're quick to respond to any problems.""The most valuable features are the sandbox, mail scanning, sandboxing attachments, files, and that it responds to VPN porting.""This is a product at the top of its game. That is the reason we choose to support and sell it.""The potential threat protection feature is the most valuable. In the event that one of my computers is not on the network and gets a virus, ESET Endpoint Security quickly detects the malware, and in most cases, it removes the virus. It also has the ability to remotely shut down the computer. I like the remote control part the most.""The protection and device control features are the most valuable. I found its user interface and integration pretty good. It is very user friendly as compared to other products.""I would say that this solution has the best support team in this kind of Endpoint protection product."

Cons
"In the next version of this solution, I would like to see the addition of local authentication.""The initial setup is a bit complex because you need to execute existing antiviruses or security software that you have on your device.""In the next release, I would for it to have back up abilities. I would like the ability to go back to a point in time to when my PC was uninfected and to the moment of when the infection happened.""The reporting and analytics areas of the solution need to be improved.""I would like more seamless integration.""The technical support is very slow.""I would recommend that the solution offer more availability in terms of the product portfolio and integration with third-party products.""Maybe there is room for improvement in some of the automated remediation. We have other tools in place that AMP feeds into that allow for that to happen, so I look at it as one seamless solution. But if you're buying AMP all by itself, I don't know if it can remove malicious software after the fact or if it requires the other tools that we use to do some of that."

More Cisco Secure Endpoint Cons »

"They were working on the encryption management for laptops, and if they complete it then it would be helpful.""Bitfender could improve their modules on the server. For example, Bitdefender doesn't have content filters or firewall modules on the server. It would be great if it had a networking module and a content filter module at the workstations.""I would like to see the capability for remote installation added, in particular for servers.""The software itself is solid. It would be better if it was more of a real-time solution, like SentinelOne. The one thing that holds me back on the SentinelOne side is that I can blacklist websites and stuff like that, but it's not as granular as Bitdefender. With Bitdefender, I feel like I have more control over what I can whitelist and blacklist.""Occasionally websites are unnecessarily blocked due to monitoring software on those sites.""For many, the problems come mostly when they start tweaking or short-cutting - particularly for patch management.""The reporting is much too simple.""The graphical user interface for EDR could be improved."

More Bitdefender GravityZone Ultra Cons »

"Everything has some kind of room for improvement.""If I were in an environment that required a large-scale deployment then I would choose another solution over ESET.""The solution should offer more security surrounding blacklisted websites.""The solution includes only Intrusion Detection and not IPS, which is an important feature that is missing in my version.""The product could have better integration with third-party products that would help extend functionality.""They could be more aggressive with malware.""The use of SQL Server can be improved. At times, there is a bit of challenge while linking it with the Javascript. ESET Endpoint Security requires modern technology or modern equipment on site. You will find it difficult to use ESET Endpoint Security with dual-core machines. If they can add the cloud management feature to their product, it will be much easier. If you look at this COVID situation that we are in right now, people are working from home, so you need to control the computers wherever you are. For example, if you are using any email setup and you are hosting it on your own, all the email traffic will be going through the same network. You need to protect all of your computers from the attack. It is best if you can do it remotely rather than having an IT person to come onsite to manage all computers and metrics etc, which isn't a smart way to do it.""A few times, we have had problems with downloading an agent. We had to try multiple times and multiple uploads."

Pricing and Cost Advice
"The costs of 50 licenses of AMP for three years is around $9,360.""The price is very good.""The visibility that we have into the endpoint and the forensics that we're able to collect give us value for the price. This is not an overly expensive solution, considering all the things that are provided. You get great performance and value for the cost.""Whenever you are doing the licensing process, I would highly advise to look at what other Cisco solutions you have in your organization, then evaluate if an Enterprise Agreement is the best way to go. In our case, it was the best way to go. Since we had so many other Cisco products, we were able to tie those in. We were actually able to get several Cisco security solutions for less than if we had bought three or four Cisco security solutions independently or ad hoc.""In our case, it is a straightforward annual payment through our Enterprise Agreement.""Our company was very happy with the price of Cisco AMP. It was about a third of what we were paying for System Center Endpoint Protection.""There are a couple of different consumption models: Pay up front, or if you have an enterprise agreement, you can do a monthly thing. Check your licensing possibilities and see what's best for your organization.""The Enterprise Agreement is like an all-you-can-eat buffet of Cisco products. In that vein, it was very affordable."

"There is a fully functional trial that we used and we didn't have any issues.""There are different packages available that vary in terms of licensing fees.""Price-wise, we have a better licensing agreement with Bitdefender than we did with competing vendors.""Bitdefender GravityZone Ultra is less expensive than other solutions, such as CrowdStrike. We had a really good deal because it was their year-end and they were trying to do a lot of sales that week. We bought a three-year contract from them and the cost was approximately $17 per endpoint, per year. It is was a very good price. I have spoken to other people who have purchased CrowdStrike at approximately $60 per endpoint, per year. I have no complaints about the price of this solution.""The solution is not expensive but there are cheaper options in the market. In terms of competitiveness, the price is reasonable with no other additional costs besides the licensing fees."

"This solution is a good value for the money.""Currently, we are running on a three-year license. The pricing might be around $20,000. There aren't any costs above the standard licensing fee.""It is subjective. I don't think it is expensive. If you can have 10 user licenses for less than $100, I don't think it is expensive.""Its price is fair. If we compare it with any other retail product, it is a little harder to compete with.""The price could be lower, but it's comparable, as other solutions have a similar price for the same effect.""I think it's available for a pretty fair price. If you know how to use it, then it's a very fair price for what you get.""I pay about $100 a year, so it's really cheap. I'm sure that if I need something else beyond more technical support, I'll need to pay more.""The license is annually, and the price is low compared to competitors."
