We performed a comparison between Bitrix24 and OpenText Project and portfolio Management based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Project Management Software solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."Initially, Bitrix24 improved the way we operate because we were not previously using a CRM. Before Bitrix24, we tracked everything through Outlook. Now, we have a tool that will automatically put out reports for us."
"The CRM and collaboration tools are well-designed for our purposes. Your projects can be based on tasks, CRM, or opportunities. The task-based features are the most valuable for us right now."
"It is a very scalable solution...The tool currently operates efficiently and contributes to our ongoing digitization efforts, including documentation and workflows."
"The product is user-friendly."
"Bitrix24's workflow is better than that of others. The user interface is also good."
"The data interpretation feature in Bitrix24 is good."
"I believe that having one system that handles all of the functions that we need in a business, such as marketing, sales, pipeline management, project management, meetings, customer contact, customer feedback, social media integrations, and connections to our cloud data storage, Google, and Microsoft, is a good idea."
"It's a very easy-to-use product."
"Resource management: The resource management module is very complete and covers most of the time all needs of customers."
"There are so many different pieces of functionality, and we use almost every single piece from deployment to demand, project, resource, and time management."
"I like the automated calculations, especially on the resource side. When project managers enter their resource requirements into their staffing profiles, they are automatically translated into labor forecast calculations. PPM automates a significant portion of the forecast calculations. Timesheets are also built-in. We automatically process time sheets and bill them accordingly."
"The data provided by PPM is trusted and is available almost immediately; without trusted data there is very less scope of any tool to be successful."
"Micro Focus PPM is flexible and easy to use. It's simple to customize and configure workflows."
"Micro Focus Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) has a very strong workflow engine."
"The portfolio management and the resource management are the key features."
"I like the ease of customization from an admin perspective. I'm really excited about some of the things that are coming in version 10.0.3 as far as what admins are able to do."
"The client interface is not very user-friendly."
"It would be great if colleagues could get alerts via email when they are assigned something."
"The solution's open channel and contact center could be improved."
"There are some bugs in the mobile system."
"The solution’s performance could be made faster."
"Some functionalities of the tool required specific expertise. For example, the SIP Connector is difficult to install."
"This solution was built using old technology which is now mixed with new technologies. This can make it challenging to get new features live."
"I would like to see improvements with Bitrix24's marketing automation."
"User interface continues to be poor. The product does not have a similar view in the different modules, e.g., staffing vs financial management, it looks like you are working with a different product and it is not easy to use or intuitive."
"I would also like to see improvement in PPM's reporting and alerts. PPM has reporting capabilities, including HTML reports and portlets. But a majority of clients will build their own reporting platforms, or they will use external reporting platforms like Tableau and QlikView."
"I was not involved in the initial setup. I know that the project involved a lot of consulting that took a long time."
"Reporting; need to be able to provide fancy reporting out of PPM, way it is done in OBIEE etc."
"The user interface is very, very old and is missing some functions, such as, for example, re-do, follow, and share functions. The UI is not good."
"Micro Focus PPM should be less dependent on coding. It could also benefit from some updates to the software architecture. These have been on the roadmap for years now, but they haven't been released."
"Sometimes features in PPM don't work as expected, or our users request a new feature. Typically, our partner vendor can deploy those changes. But there have been a few instances when we had to raise it with Micro Focus because it's beyond the ability of our partner vendor. When we raise the issue with Micro Focus, it sometimes takes time because it needs support from other customers using PPM, not just our bank. It goes through a voting system. Other customers need to vote for the feature. The features that get the most votes will possibly be added."
"We had a couple of issues with stability or performance degradation about a year ago, around the time of the initial rollout. Since then, we've only had two unexpected outages that were quickly resolved."
