We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros
The product has a comfortable GUI and a good environment for users.I like all of the features. I like that you can simulate the processes and add the time standard. The free online Help and E-Learning is very strong. With the appropriate governance framework, properly trained business analysts can be empowered to design and build business solutions themselves.Bizagi is a very useful tool because it does not require you to program. The user logic is very easy to understand even for people who are not engineers or developers. The main feature of Bizagi is the speed to which we can automate processes and how we can modify them without a strong impact on the end users. The user logic is very easy to understand, even for people who are not engineers nor developers. It has an easy to use interface which final users accepted with much more enthusiasm than our ERP (SAP).

The solution is easily compatible with HTML forms and HTML language programming and that is the most significant part. When I compare it with other BPM tools, like IBM, it is great, open source, and free when you use the community version. The most valuable feature is the ability to share the logic within the rules engine with the business, so you can put it up for everybody to read. The number of client implementations and cross-language capabilities to support multiple frameworks is very pluggable compared to Pega. It's also more portable.I've found the active community most valuable but it also provides you with a lot of other features. We are documenting all of the processors and VPN. Then we are sharing it with our business users. For an internal project, this is a solution that you can install and have up and running quite quickly. We have a lot of users, almost 1,800, and we needed something affordable, stable and something that could be used by a large financial company. This solution truly fit the bill.

Cons
It needs some better notation functionality. The performance could use improvement. We couldn't connect the processes to on one file. The performance is an issue for us.It is difficult to drive ROI on types of processes involving complex business rules. For very large projects and deployments, the automated "One Click" deployment wizard can sometimes take a long time to complete. One of the features which could be improved is machine learning. Even though this product has been working on this topic, we can see that it still requires improvement. Also, the tool sometimes feels not so mature when we find random deploy errors from testing to production environment. It would be helpful if they added some extra features in the next update.Framework approach, which extends to reusability in tools, like Pega, for deployment management could be improved.

I would also like a very easy to use form builder.I would like to have a feature for audit logging, audit logs and audit log management. And some history of use for the audit logs.I would like to see the forms engine available in the open-source version of this solution. The user interface needs improvement. It should be more tailored to the end-user and offer a better user experience design over the user interface itself.I would say that Camunda should actually focus on small cases as well. There's a lot of space out there, for small businesses. If they can, they should cater to them. When you search for Camunda BPM resources or books on how to utilize Camunda BPM, it is lacking. When it comes to Alfresco, there are thousands of resources that can help you to utilize within AWS and its Group Services. I would like to see the usage of Camunda BPM on Amazon Web Services be improved. The GUI needs to be improved, with more configuration options. If Camunda could develop something that creates user forms that would be a great feature to have. They also need to improve the UI.

Pricing and Cost Advice
It is only necessary to pay for licenses when ready to deploy applications to production. If they can freeze the pricing in a contract, I advise them to do so.It is on par with other BPM tools, but not as expensive as Pega nor Appian.
